America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Starve a Liberal for a better America

In the spirit of fair play I have decided that any LIBERAL that thinks it is ok to starve Terry Schiavo to death should have to take her place.

Since the liberals say they are in touch with the common man they should have no problem starving themselves to death for the betterment of man.

This simple plan will eliminate much of the “waste” of oxygen and precious resources.

So be a better person, Liberals, a few here, need to starve yourselves to death for a real progressive movement.

Starve a Liberal for a better America.com My newest sight.

So all you fathead liberals do america A FAVOR... starve slowly to death, then tell me how starving terry schiavo is better for her because she can't feel it. JERKS!

Sorry...a rant and small hijack on my part. Back to the debate at hand.

all drab and regressive do is come into my site and name call. they add nothing for the MOST part, just spread there poison and run away safe behind their computer screens.

This poor woman died a long time ago. Her family just keep killing her over and over, prolonging the torture. I believe that Congress had no business meddling in the court's affairs. I think her parents are selfish assholes for prolonging this. I think her husband tried all he could for the first number of years to get her properly rehab'd. Her parents tried to take care of her, but returned her to institutional care, because they couldn't. I think her husband is doing the right thing trying to let her die in peace. Removing the feeding tube and letting her die is not like letting starving children in a third world county die. She would just pass quietly, as her organs quietly shut down. At the end of life, people die from organ failure routinely as a result of lack of nutrition. This "starvation" thing is bullshit hype.

It's amazing to me that these same jerks who profess the sanctity of life, ie the dubya dummy, had no reservations putting retarded people to death in Texas. Just a bunch of pandering jerks trying to politicize a tragedy.

Just let the poor woman die already. Fer cryin' out loud........

I can't believe I'm agreeing with dabe, but, having seen this sort of thing for myself with my dad (albeit on a much smaller scale), I have to go along.
I'm not going to go into my reasons why, again...just look for my posts above and on other threads if you want that. I just think she should be let go and left in peace.

And isn't it interesting that the Governor of Florida is President Bush's brother?

Screw you and your lefty conspiracy theories, Icon....that's got nothing to do with it.

Don't muddy a sad, emotionally-charged issue like this with partisan bullshit.

Hit a nerve, did I? Who could it have been that convinced the president that he needed to cut his vacation short?
Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't this starving thing kind of unavoidable? The first step is to remove the feeding tube, then proper procedure dictates that the next step, whatever that turns out to be, has to be done according to what the courts decide? If the decision isn't made fast enough, who's fault is that?

I hope this means the Republicans are ready to fund the health care of people like Terri. They could not be saying lets save people like Terri and then cut funding as Bush has proposed and Congress is considering.

Who's been paying for it up to now? Is she insured? Is she on Medicaid? If she is on aid, they've BEEN paying for it.

You libs cry so hard for socialized medicine, without realizing that we already HAVE it here, more or less. I pay for it every time I clock in for work, and so do you.

Good point, Modman.

Ahh, way to go, dabey-wabey, name calling ALWAYS advances your argument!

To be completely fair, the name-calling crap has been pretty prevalent on both sides of this thread.
Very mature, people; welcome to Jr. High.

It has nothing to do with Bush Bashing. It is a simple question. If we are to care for people like Terri, who will pay for the cost? You can not have it both ways! It is not enough to say people like this poor women deserve to live if no one is willing to pay for that to happen.
on Mar 23, 2005
For the record, not everyone who is opposed to Terri being starved to death is pro death penalty. I am anti death penalty as well, although that's a separate debate.

As for the health care issue, many private organizations have readily agreed to pay for Terri's care once the trust fund that has been footing the bill is depleted.

BUT, the larger point of hypocrisy as regards high level politicians in this country is true...both of the libs AND the dems. Good reason why we need to kick 'em all outta office.

To be *very* fair I would like you to show me where on this thread MM used name calling against dabe. And BTW LW only responded to dabe's comment. On the other hand dabe uses name calling on a regular basis when she doesn't like what's posted. Go back and look at other republican/rightwing posts. The answer will become absolutely clear to you rightwinger.

That is my point. Even if someone is willing to pay Terri's medical costs what about the thousands of others. Most of the long term care are on Medicade which Bush and the Republicans are proposing to cut funding for as they support Terri Schiavo.
