Neither should her (ex)husband be able to, in my opinion, but the courts appear to differ since she can't accuse him of spousal abandonment herself...

Yes it troubles me to think of her without water and food. I do not know how else to allow her to return to GOD. When my father died he had a written directive not to kept him alive like Terri. We connected him to a ventalator until the family could arrive and then removed it per his wishes and allowed him to pass with his family around him.

I agree with you Col, and I respect your personal beliefs. You have to see, though, how allowing a spouse ten years separated from a wife could be abused as a precendent. Maybe his motives are pure, who knows. There will be, though, people whose motives aren't.

Best to leave it to legally binding documentation.
