I can't believe I'm agreeing with dabe, but, having seen this sort of thing for myself with my dad (albeit on a much smaller scale), I have to go along. I'm not going to go into my reasons why, again...just look for my posts above and on other threads if you want that. I just think she should be let go and left in peace.

Fact is, no one is going to affirmatively inject an overdose of morphine to hasten death, so the only option is to allow her to just die. Most people would agree that they would NOT want to be allowed to languish in such a vegetative state for years. So, why can't they think that Terri Shiavo also would not have wanted this. I think her parents are abysmally selfish. Obviously, they're not trying to keep her alive for her, but rather for themselves.
