This is just about what one family went through fighting for the passage of Proposition Eight.
The shameful and vicious treatment which the McIlhenny family, including thier three children, suffered from Gay and Lesbian activists during their stay in San Fran Freako from 1973 until the late 1990's. The homosexual movement has been able to obtain its goals by using FASCIST tactics, violence, intimidation and threatening boycotts of those corporations that refuse to satisfy their demands.
Chuck McIlhenny was the pastor for the Presbyterian church in southern California and was transferred to San Fran Freako in 1973. His troubles began in 1978 when he learned that the church organist was a practicing Homosexual, and Chuck fired him. The organist Kevin Walker filed a lawsuit against not only against Reverend McIlhenny, but also the church and the 10 other churches in northern California. for discrimination against a person on the basis of his sexual practices, which is forbidden by the San Fran Freako Board of Supervisors.
Soon after the T.V. and print media reported the opening of the trail in 1980 the McElhinney's began to receive obscene phone calls, hundreds of threatening letters, pornographic material in the mail, death threats, some of which described their three children in detail, where the kids attended school, and what deviant acts that were going to be performed on the kids.
Pastor M. had been voluntary doing a radio broadcast at a christian radio station when the lawsuit started, shortly after that he was taken off the air because of the lawsuit and fears over the loss of the stations 25 million operation.
During Sunday services gay and lesbian protesters started showing up dressed in "punk style" garb. Others would show up as transvestites, they would interrupt services by standing up, shouting obscenities, slam windows carve profanities into the pews. They were disruptive, abusive and terrorized regular parishioners.
The violence against the church escalated, with broken windows, Then in 1983 on May 31st in the middle of the night someone set the pastors home on fire, endangering him, his wife and three children.
Now remember these are the same people that "just want their civil rights" But have no problem denying other people of theirs. This is what we the people of California have to face on a daily basis dangerous criminal gay and lesbians will to go to any criminal extent to get their way no matter who they hurt, maim or kill.
