America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Starve a Liberal for a better America

In the spirit of fair play I have decided that any LIBERAL that thinks it is ok to starve Terry Schiavo to death should have to take her place.

Since the liberals say they are in touch with the common man they should have no problem starving themselves to death for the betterment of man.

This simple plan will eliminate much of the “waste” of oxygen and precious resources.

So be a better person, Liberals, a few here, need to starve yourselves to death for a real progressive movement.

Starve a Liberal for a better America.com My newest sight.

So all you fathead liberals do america A FAVOR... starve slowly to death, then tell me how starving terry schiavo is better for her because she can't feel it. JERKS!

If her husband has moved on and her parents want to care for her, why not let them? However, I think her parents are being selfish. Do they want to prolong her life for her sake or theirs? I am betting the latter.

Jill,

The parents feel that Mr. Schiavo had something to do with her condition. Whether that is true or not, I do not know, but the parents have hope that Terri can be helped through rehabilitation that has been denied her by Mr. Schiavo consistently through the years. While their hope may be overly optimistic, it is a hope they should be allowed to see come to fruition.

There's a subtle concern I have here as well over the fact that Mr. Schiavo wants Terri's remains cremated. Remember, Mr. Schiavo is Catholic, Terri is Catholic, her parents are Catholic...last time I checked, cremation to a Catholic was a VERY bad thing (which is one reason the medieval Catholic church burned the bones of heretics). If anything can establish Mr. Schiavo's mindset, I believe this goes a long way.

Reply By: BakerStreetPosted: Tuesday, March 22, 2005"t is so easy for anyone who is on the outside to sit and judge this man and what he's trying to do for his wife. "which wife, the one he has now or the one he "manages" like a peice of property?"But if you have never been in the position that Terry is in, a vegetative state, lying there, not knowing anything, how can she, she's literally dead."Nope, nor would I be "suffering" or "demeaned" if I were "literally dead". Nor would my heart be beating, nor would I be ingesting food and living without any help but nourishment."Would you want to be in that position to have to decide that it's time for your spouse to die, time to pull the plug and not try anymore because there's no hope?"No, but it the point is there is no plug. She's been denied food and water for days and she is still alive."But she has a husband, and therefore they should respect her wishes to not remain that way."Her wishes aren't known. Abandoned spouses shouldn't be starved to death based on hearsay statements. She never let her real "family" know what her wishes were."My friend is right at this moment in the same situation in NY wherein her mom is in a coma and dying and she has to make the decision that is best for her family. It's not an easy decision to make and it doesn't make the pain of it go away."But your friend's mom has the benefit of having her family make the decision. In this case the family is being denied the ability to make the decision by someone who has "moved on" and whose only "management" of the situation is his tireless efforts to have her starved to death."Would I want the government to take this right away from me? No! Should they become involved? No! Now that I live in Florida, what the President has done will take away my rights."No one is telling anyone what they can do. You can write out a living will. You can share your feelings with your family. You can ensure that this doesn't happen by leaving your directions in irrefutable ways. You are basing your ideas about what someone else would want on your feelings for what YOU would want. You can't make that assumption.AND the "state", should not, ever, never do such a thing. To do so would be basically sentencing everyone in this condition to death by default unless they provide directions otherwise. Why not just go a step further and assume they want their organs harvested? How would that play out over time when anyone who can die, must die?So, do you want the rule to be "starve them unless they specify otherwise", or would you like to make sure people who don't specify are given the benefit of the doubt, and not discarded like so much garbage...Bonus Rating: Trolling Insightful

damn you are good at expressing yourself.. can I borrow your talent for lets say ummmmmmmmm forever? lol

I think we can ALL AGREE her "husband is a peice of shit"

It is now 2:45 P.M. EST. A woman who was apparantely a former nurse of Terri's was just on CNN. She said that she and other nurses would give Terri physical therapy and Terri was able to move her limbs afterwards. The nurse heard Terri speak. Then Michael would come in and say, "Stop that. It's therapy." He would also say things like, "When is that bitch going to die?" And "Isn't she dead yet?" Michael would void the therapy orders. The nurse says she believes that with just a little more therapy, Terri could recover. She said Terri is brain dead. She is not PVS. The nurse said she was fired for not giving Terri correct care.

I think I might have misunderstood you, moderateman, but it's your fault. IF instead of "how" you meant "that".

Better to starve the cheating husband along with the liberals who think they know all....let them starve and feel what it is like.

When you don't know someone, it's hard to know when they're being sarcastic, especially on the computer.

True. Oftentimes, though, it's obvious when a joke is being made, but the lib just plows right past it and gets pissed off over the comment because they didn't get it for whatever reason. It happens more with libs than it does with cons, because libs in general have, honestly, less of a sense of humor about the issues than we do. Many of you debate from a much more serious perspective than the cons, and everything you say and do during the debate is colored by that.

Hey im-moder-rant, looks like you want to starve 60-70 percent of America. They disagree with you.

Poll: Most want Congress off Schiavo case

WASHINGTON - About seven in 10 Americans say Congress inappropriately intervened in the case of a brain-damaged woman whose relatives disagree over whether she should be allowed to die, according to a new poll.

About six in 10 said they agreed with the decision by a Florida judge to remove the feeding tube from 41-year-old Terri Schiavo, according to two polls out Monday.

As your hate-filled posts make clear, you are neither libertarian nor moderate.

Bon appetite!

Uh huh. And then you say "STARVE A LIBERAL" over & over. Advocating something you yourself deem cruel sounds pretty hateful to me. And not very moderate.

But I am sure you think it's a fitting punishemnt of a brain dead woman, huh?

You're 'sure,' but as usual, you are also wrong. If you think it's being handed down as 'punishment,' that's your hate talking, not the judges.

BTW, I posted my views (post #10) on terpfan's blog. You can read it here: Link

Accusation? That you made a hate-filled statement? That you're neither libertarian nor moderate? That's not an accusation. The Framers would call that self-evident.

The police investigated the nurse's allegations and found them to be baseless.
