America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
They will hand Hillary the Presidency
Published on October 24, 2007 By Moderateman In Politics

The hypocrisy of the religious right knows no boundaries. They insinuate themselves in the Republican party like a cancer invades the body of a healthy man, slowly they rot the body from within. They are the equal of the lunatic far left in every way, just as nuts, just as damaging to the American process. Hey Religious right, not everyone is a Christian, not everyone wants to be a Christian, you do more to push away conservative thinkers than any other part of the republican party with your ridiculous demands.

While I admit you have a fair amount of power in the party, to say you will not support the apparent front runner Rudy Giuliani because of his pro-choice stance shows how shallow you really are, all you do by this is hand the Presidency to Hillary, who is also pro-choice BTW, this is like cutting off your nose because something smells bad, an incredibly stupid things to do.

Your actions make me ashamed to be a Republican. Your smug faces make me want to slap them. Your holier than thou attitude does not reflect what I know of Jesus the man, it reflects someone so full of themselves and the power they wield.

I noticed KFC and LULA throwing around the MM hates word. well no where did I say I hate anyone! or any religion.

I'm quite sure if you check my posts, the only time I referrenced the word hate was in response to LWhip.

All this hatin' on him from the religious right

I don't hate Rudy. I hate what he stands for---the evil of abortion.

Yes, MM, you didn't come right and say you hated anyone in particular or any religion per se, but you did refer to and say things about the religious right in a hateful manner. Your choice of language was hateful and directed to pro-life Christians.

What you interpret as hateful I interpret as plain fact, I felt no hatred while presenting this, so any feeling you are getting from this is your own interpretation. I do not spend any of my precious energy hating very many things, I hate intolerance though something most Christians are quite full of.

I have an intolerance of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery and treachery. Is that really so bad?

After reviewing my post, I dont see anyting even SUGGESTING this.

Okay. Good for you. You might want to review history to see the origins of the moral principles upon which our laws in the US are based.

I hate to break it to you, but religion has been around a lot longer than any government. Also, 99% of the world believes in a religion of some kind or another, and it doesn't make them fanatics.

Perhaps it might help if you googled Axial Age philosophers which was roughly a 500 year period in history where Jesus, Mohamed, Buddah, Confuscious, who all taught the same basic message of peace. If you think peace is something you don't want shoved down yout throat, you might want to consider joining a terrorist group, or a Montana based Militia.

Hypocraties taught the first physicians: First, do no harm.

Cicero taught that grattitude was the mother of all virtue.

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said that he dreamed of a day when people would not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their hearts.

I hope you are not the kind of person who thinks that gratitude, charity, kindness, service to others (regardless of their thinking or descent) are forms of oppression. I believe that all of these guys spoke true principles. I believe in them all, AND I am a Christian.

Sometimes it is all too easy to mistake an imperfect follower with the principles to which they aspire. Please don't make that mistake. Anger, like drugs have proven to impair your judgement, and ability to reason.

I hate to break this to you but more people have been killed in the name of G-d than any other reason.

I know! That's why they're called Judeo-Christian.

I hope I can't be accused of being intolerant of Jews, for sure. Of course, I'm not going to realize someone's Jewish unless someone tells me, or they talk about celebrating Jewish holidays, etc. I can't just look at someone and think, Hey, they're Jewish. It just doesn't come up, you know?

I try not to be intolerant of things unless I'm positive that God is against them. Even then, repentance will find acceptance.

After Jesus came to earth, killing in the name of God stopped. After that, all killing was done for the purpose of blackening the name of God.

killing in the name of God stopped.

Where did it ever start?

I seem to remember some genocide in the old testament, but I may be mistaken.

Well I can't look at someone and know they're gay, either, unless they're flaming. That's the Jewish equivalent.

maybe our definitions of killing in the name of god are different?

Facts are is someone wrote this same article and replaced the words "religious right" with the word Jewry, they would be labeled anti-Semitic and hateful in a heartbeat.

Same deal with replacing those words with homosexuals, the label would be homophobic and probably charged with a hate crime.
