America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
They will hand Hillary the Presidency
Published on October 24, 2007 By Moderateman In Politics

The hypocrisy of the religious right knows no boundaries. They insinuate themselves in the Republican party like a cancer invades the body of a healthy man, slowly they rot the body from within. They are the equal of the lunatic far left in every way, just as nuts, just as damaging to the American process. Hey Religious right, not everyone is a Christian, not everyone wants to be a Christian, you do more to push away conservative thinkers than any other part of the republican party with your ridiculous demands.

While I admit you have a fair amount of power in the party, to say you will not support the apparent front runner Rudy Giuliani because of his pro-choice stance shows how shallow you really are, all you do by this is hand the Presidency to Hillary, who is also pro-choice BTW, this is like cutting off your nose because something smells bad, an incredibly stupid things to do.

Your actions make me ashamed to be a Republican. Your smug faces make me want to slap them. Your holier than thou attitude does not reflect what I know of Jesus the man, it reflects someone so full of themselves and the power they wield.

The Reglious Right makes you sick? Interesting. I have yet to detect any evidence in your statement to support such a conclusion. You have compared Christianity to cancer. Interesting that most cancer patients pray more often than they breath.

NO! I have compared fundalmentalist Christians to Cancer, all religious fanatics are bad, IMO.

As a Christian I do not require anyone to believe as I do,

Then you are the exception, as part of Christianity are you not suppossed to bring people to Jesus by your actions and words?

don't cheat on your spouse,

What the hell does someone else's behavior with their spouse have to do with you?

While much of your post had some sense to it, this little chunk is ridiculous.

BTW I would never slap a Lady, wanting to slap and slapping are in two different worlds, I have never, ever put my hands on a female in anger, EVER! not once, SOMETHING not very many men can claim.

Quite frankly, MM, I was hoping you'd say something like this to explain that remark of yours.

To me, as I read your article, you indicated that for x, y and z reasons, the religious right is your (personal) enemy that you wouldn't mind face slapping. So, in that sense, I took it personally.

In any event, save that kind of vehemence for true enemies, not other GOP members. If I learned anything from your article, it's that if we are to win, the GOP and all it's big-tent members have got to find a way to work effectively together. I think it can be done and will be done.

LULA POSTS:
Feeling a bit intolerant, are you?

Yes, by intolerant, here's what I meant. Your entire article demonstrates your intolerance and utter disdain for pro-life Christians who in your view have no place under the big GOP tent. According to you, they not only have no place in the GOP but also they are as a disease being there.

IN a normal year, I would say you have a fear. But Hillary is such that I think most will swallow their pride and vote for Rudy. It is not so much they like him, but fear her more.

Back to the lesser of two evils! Sad Sad Sad.

i agree but it seems that the lesser of two evils is getting more evil.

He's convinced some of the neo-Cons, like Hannity, et al, who are nominally pro-life, saying he'll appoint strict constrictionist judges. But that doesn't hold water. He didn't during his stint as mayor.

I wasn't aware that city mayors had the authority to appoint federal judges.

Oh wait, they don't.

Care to name a few judges that Rudy appointed that you find objectionable, lula? Or will you have to look it up because you've simply repeated something here that you 'heard' somewhere else?

Wow MM quite the discussion here.

I think I might fit into that group you detest. Sorry to hear about that. I don't like Hillary or Rudy. Equal opportunity dislike here.

I think this whole conversation is a bit premature tho. I'm not so sure Rudy is going to be the guy anyhow. We should hold off and wait to see exactly who the last two standing are before we start arguing to much over this.

As far as the Religious Right is concerned.....did you know they are Israel's biggest supporters? Falwell who was actually the one who got things started was a big friend of Israel and it was so noted by the leaders of Israel many times, including statements made at his funeral and afterwards.

Your right. They don't..and that's what I said...."He didn't (appoint) any during his stint as mayor".

PS. I know mayor's can't appoint federal judges...

As far as Rudy as mayor ever appointing any type of state or municipal judges, I don't know that he did or didn't, or could or couldn't. What was said is that his appointments in his mayorial administration were not pro-life.

Look it up if you want to.

I'm not voting for Guiliani, but I'm giving Hillary nothing. I'm sick and tired of being told I have to vote for Democrat or Republican. It's like asking if I want a sandwich made of dog crap or cat crap!

I'll take the PB&J!

when prospective presidential candidates cannot be nominated by one of our two major political parties without having first been annointed and found worthy by theocrats we're halfway to becoming iran instead of them becoming us.

it's way past time to revoke tax exempt status from every religious organization that funds lobbyists, endorses a candidate or party or otherwise politicizes its mission.

people of faith have both a right and a duty to involve themselves in all civic matters and concerns as individuals or collectively as long as they don't turn the house of god into tammany hall.

what about the media not giving fair play to both parties. if one side can have a major player in their corner then why cant the other side.
