America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
The one unforgivable act
Published on April 21, 2005 By Moderateman In Politics
There seems to be a whole lot of hub-bub over hanoijane being spit on by a viet nam vet, although assualting a woman is a un excuseable act, I can see why she was spit on.

Hanoijane while "visiting pow's" at the infamous "hanoi hilton" was given notes from prisoners that were hoping to communicate with loved ones, the notes were passed to hanoijane while shaking the hands of these tortured souls for publicity against the war.

Hanoijane after wards gave all the notes to the vietnamese guards, for which the offending prisoners were punished more than usual.

Spit! I would gladly spit in her face as she spit in mine and all of my comrades in arms {except hanoijohn kerry's face} his I would spit on too.

So much hate...not good lil bro. Jane Fonda, like many others in the acting industry were against US involvement in Viet Nam. The accusation that she turned against POW's is a very serious one... can you back it up with facts?

In protest of Jane Fonda being considered as one of the top 100 women of the century, this email reminds Americans of her controversial visit to North Vietnam during the war. It quotes a POW named Jerry Driscoll who was taken from his prison cell, cleaned and dressed for a visit with Fonda, then ordered to give Fonda a positive account of his treatment. He spit at Fonda and was beaten and dragged away. Then a group of POWs which included a Col. Larry Carrigan were brought out to visit with Fonda. According to the story, "...she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: "Aren't you sorry you bombed babies?" & "Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?" Many of the POW's were listed as missing in action so to identify themselves to American authorities, they each wrote their Social Security numbers on small pieces of paper and slipped them to Fonda as she greeted them. To their horror, however, after Fonda finished meeting them, she turned to the North Vietnamese commanding officer and handed him the POW's pieces of paper. In the beatings that followed, three American POW's died and Col. Carrigan nearly died.

The email then ends with a statement of fact about events in North Vietnam from an unnamed American POW.

here is a fast snippet I found, read it and be horrorfied.

Very sad...but not proof...an anonymous e mail 40 years down the line is pretty hard to believe.
War is hell, as I'm sure you know Elie...but not everyone supported that prticular one. To continue it like this will get no one ahead of the game.
Look at VietNam today...it is a thriving country and is united.. there no longer is a north or south. This says something for the determination of the people living there. Give them a chance.

Just because you don't support the war does not excuse helping the enemy.

Jane Fonda's effect on American PoWs is well documented by the PoWs themseves. American PoWs were played tapes of her interview where she said they should be ashamed of themselves, and that they were war criminals. Those same people were tortured to ADMIT such things, and her statement only made their situations worse.

She's trash, like all the other anti-war "heads" that betrayed those men that were fighting at the time. Anyone can oppose a war, I don't have a problem with that. Jane Fonda and many, many other noteworthy anti-war Americans were traitors to their countrymen who were not given the choice as to whether or not to fight, and shouldn't have been allowed to continue to exploit their fame in the US after abusing their freedoms.

And to think she is freely traveling around the country she trashed promoting her new book. If ever I needed a good reason for retroactive abortion she is it.

Unfortunatlely, out of all the true accounts of hanoijane's treason against the United States, you cited the one that isn't. Once again, Snopes.com answers with the facts. Link

Don't take this as a defense against her. Her actions make her the poster child of the Constitutional definition of treason. She can apologize all she wants, admitting her betrayal was a good start, but until she is tried for her crimes, they are merely empty words from a whore.

When will justice be served?
