America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
The one unforgivable act
Published on April 21, 2005 By Moderateman In Politics
There seems to be a whole lot of hub-bub over hanoijane being spit on by a viet nam vet, although assualting a woman is a un excuseable act, I can see why she was spit on.

Hanoijane while "visiting pow's" at the infamous "hanoi hilton" was given notes from prisoners that were hoping to communicate with loved ones, the notes were passed to hanoijane while shaking the hands of these tortured souls for publicity against the war.

Hanoijane after wards gave all the notes to the vietnamese guards, for which the offending prisoners were punished more than usual.

Spit! I would gladly spit in her face as she spit in mine and all of my comrades in arms {except hanoijohn kerry's face} his I would spit on too.

I have neither the time nor the inclination for hatred anymore, and that includes my arch nemisis dabe.

I knew you were better than they are. You are a good man. I am honored to have read your writings.

For me, I don't hate anyone. However, that doesn't mean I don't want to see justice served. What she did is a textbook example of treason against the United States

That I agree with 100%. But then the democrats would scream we are stacking the senate by removing one of their own.

yea, right.

I don't mean to take this off topic but DAMN..

Reiki House, there is this thing, called a paragraph. It is a fantastic way to prevent BLINDNESS, and it alse makes your posts 1000% more likely to be read beyond the first line...

If are using the enter key and aren't getting it, try using the paragraph <P> HTML tag at the beginning of each paragraph. Seriously, I refuse to read any more of your posts until you make them readable.

Sorry all, back to the discussion.

The fact she (as well as others) has never been arrested and forced to face up to what they did, is one of the reasons the wound is still open.

When I was getting ready to go to Atlanta for my 1st internship, someone joked with me, "hanoijane lives in Atlanta, what if you get called to a car accident and she is the patient?"

I answered, "I'd treat her to the best of my ability"... then joked, "and the best I could do for her would include the biggest IV needle I could find!" ;~D

If she was injured and I could help her I would, mouth to mouth even, although I would Immediatly gargle with listerene, maybe cut my tongue out. heh

C'mon BakerMan. Be serious. You're not really going to be the very first special-needs person to request a special request are you? Ha. Kidding. I type as I do with no paragraphs for no reason other than this isn't a formal document or anything more than the true realities that reside in my mind. It's my thoughts in a conversational-styled way. Are you in the education system where you have to read student's reports are you? Then I'd understand. Sorry for the inconvenience it causes, but paragraphs don't mean anything, the word content does though. Read my words and ignore the format. Please.

" It's my thoughts in a conversational-styled way."

No, not really, unless you are an auctioneer or something. Conversational tone has pauses; the flow is broken up; the ideas shift from paragraph to paragraph.

"Read my words and ignore the format. Please.

It isn't a matter of format, it is a matter of comfort. It's like someone who slurs their words and talks too fast saying that it doesn't matter that people have a hard time following them. If people don't understand you, what's the point?

The point in this is to get your ideas into other people's brains. Sure, if I squinted and strained, I could make it through one of your 1000+ word replies (1070 in this case), but honestly it is your job to to make your writing readable. Seriously, there's so much here on JU squinting and straining seems more than I want to devote.

Sorry again for the topic shift.

Paragraphs do mean something, they break written material into individual themes and ideas, making it more easily digestible.

As in the conversation that you aim to imitate, would you find it more easy to understand someone that paused occasionally between sentences, or someone who spat out a long complicated speech all at once, without stopping to take a breath?

You may stoop to a lower level if you wish sir.

I wasn't "stooping", what I thought I was doing was joking with you in a friendly manner. Maybe you missed the part that said:

(((Ok, I tried to act mad at you Reiki-House, but I just couldn't keep it in anymore! ;~D

I guess I shouldn't make that mistake again.

I knew I coulkd count on the Modman to comment on this incident.

I have no problem with anyone protesting a war, but Jane Fonda took it too far; she, really, is no better than Tokyo Rose, Lord Haw-Haw or Axis Sally or any other propagandists who gave aid and comfort to the enemies of our country and soldiers.
Those people mentioned were tried for war crimes after they were apprehended by authorities.
How she returned to the states and continued to enjoy freedom and celebrity is beyond me, though it could stand as a testimony to the weirdness of the times.
