America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
sad..

Lets step backwards in time to 1932... da nazis gain power, hitler is "elected" leader of Germany.

1933 thru 1935 the German high courts decides who should live and who should die, it started with the starvation of < mental defects, handicapped, the elderly and those deemed "unfit" by German judges, these people were starved to death long before the Germans got around to their final solution, of eliminating the jews, gypsies and other folk.

Does any of this sound familar? I am saddened that terry life was being used as a political football for both sides of the aisle.

Where does this madness stop? Is america by not heeding the past doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past?

Are we headed for an Nazi america? where judges decide who lives and who dies>? Who is productive? who deserves to die? LIve?

This whole stick and pony show sickens me, For the first time In a long time I am sad for my country, her people and politicians on both sides.

The Americans will be finished in forty years or so. I see no innovation coming from the US, just bang drumming flag waving nonsense.

The first time in a long time? I have to assume that the depleted uranium cancer-giving wasteland created from the US's ammunition, the report which clearly states that over 100,000 Iraqi civilians have died since the start of the war, the Abu-Graib torture scandal, the Guantanamo hold-forever-with-no-hearings-or-trials-or-evidence trusim, the shot up cars filled with entire Iraqi families, have all escaped your moral radar? I say in all honesty, non-flaming, that there must be an element of racism in your thinking.

What rubbish, he is talking about America, not the world. If this article were called 'World, going down a slippery slope' then that would be valid. I assume that you are a Cappuccino sipping pink-jumpered poofter. And if you lived in Britain you would no doubt vote for the Liberal Democrats whose policies include send car thieves on go-karting days out and giving criminals the vote. You poofter!

You mean the report that has been debunked?

I am sad too my friend.  It is an accurate comparison, done out of love for your country and not out of hate for it.

In all honesty, 100, 000 Iraqis is a small price to pay for the financial opportunities the war has opened up for such things as the oil trade and post war construction. Not to the mention the inevitably Westernisation of that region once a democracy settles in leading to immense profits.

"all great empires fall sir petah... "

All empires collapse, but the British empire is still alive and kicking, personified by noble gentleman such as myself. The British Empire has been responsible for the all of the most important advances in human history. The concept of modern democracy is inherently British and the industrial revolution was the greatest event in the history of mankind.

Being British is more like a franchise than a nationality. Our influence is stil felt in all of our provinces and English is truly a global language. Britain is now the strongest most financially promising country in Europe and I am proud to say I am a noble Lord of England.

"ya will not get an arguement out of me concerning my british cousins."

This is because the fact that Britain is the most prestigious, democratic and thus greatest country in the world is indisputable.
