sad..

Lets step backwards in time to 1932... da nazis gain power, hitler is "elected" leader of Germany.

1933 thru 1935 the German high courts decides who should live and who should die, it started with the starvation of < mental defects, handicapped, the elderly and those deemed "unfit" by German judges, these people were starved to death long before the Germans got around to their final solution, of eliminating the jews, gypsies and other folk.

Does any of this sound familar? I am saddened that terry life was being used as a political football for both sides of the aisle.

Where does this madness stop? Is america by not heeding the past doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past?

Are we headed for an Nazi america? where judges decide who lives and who dies>? Who is productive? who deserves to die? LIve?

This whole stick and pony show sickens me, For the first time In a long time I am sad for my country, her people and politicians on both sides.

The first time in a long time? I have to assume that the depleted uranium cancer-giving wasteland created from the US's ammunition, the report which clearly states that over 100,000 Iraqi civilians have died since the start of the war, the Abu-Graib torture scandal, the Guantanamo hold-forever-with-no-hearings-or-trials-or-evidence trusim, the shot up cars filled with entire Iraqi families, have all escaped your moral radar? I say in all honesty, non-flaming, that there must be an element of racism in your thinking.

I can't say much about all your claims, except the first one. BS!!! Do you have any idea what they use DU for? Cannon rounds ONLY! And then only against a HARD target! IE: a bunker. DU rounds are considered armor piercing. If your going to talk about something it would behove you to do at least a little reading on the subject.

"I see the UK as like a refined canine, like a poodle,erc....and the USA like a pitbull, golden retreiver....etc..."

I see the US as the rebellious teenager, always trying to be unlike mother and father and generally make a fool of themselves. In the end, mother and father always do things better and in a more refined way.

"sir petah seems to forget we kicked there asses outta here, and if not for america england too would be goose stepping."

This is common American propaganda. The fact is that if the US had fought Hitler's Germany alone for several years they would have been in the same position Britain was when the US finally decided that it might be in their interests to fight fascism. The fact that America waiting so long is nothing to be proud of at all, it shows cowardice.

America is doing a very bad impression of the British empire, and many modern Americans forget that we were conquering nations before America had it's bloody pants on. The fact still remains that the British empire is the largest empire the world has ever known and by achievment is the greatest.

"You had better read an "American" history book and NOT a british one!"

This is quite typical of the American way of thinking. Form your own opinion, peasant. You do not need to read it in a book for it to be valid! How do you think historians form their opinions? They do it through research not by simply reading other historians. I have presented some historic fact for you and you are are shocked by its accuracy.

Americans carry on about how "great" their country is but you cannot even control a bunch of backward Arabs with guns in Iraq. And even then you have the help of over 8, 000 brave British troops.

Our armies conquered 25pc of the world, America is a parody of itself with all this 'empire' piffle.

Well if you don't need to read a book, then you better stop looking at "british" resources for your supposed research, fool! Historic fact my ass!
