SIMPLE SOLUTIONS

There is a reason for the energy crunch and it sure ain't Bush!

There is a reason we have not built new nuclear power plants in the last 35 years, and it sure ain't Bush!

There is a reason we have not built new refineries to make gas in the last 35 years and it sure ain't Bush!!

It's called the Democratic parties constant obstruction of anything that might help the countries energy crunch.

Liberal greenpeaces more worries about a spotted owl than Americans.

Liberal save the earth while people starve.

All of Americas ills can be placed at the feet of liberals and there silly "we know whats best" attitude.

Bill Kristol said something great last night on "Colbert Report":
The best thing for the Republican party would be for the Democrats to take the House this fall. Two years of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Dem House Ways and Means committee chair, a lefty Judiciary Committee chair... then people would get to see, in two short years, the Democratic Party's unfitness to lead this country.

Um, you do realize the "Colbert Report" exists to mock Republicans, right?

I saw a snippet of that yesterday, I am afraid the dems will win the house but it will be the best thing to happen to the right if they do.

I find it quite remarkable that

Exxon and Chevron are ALL reporting record earnings. I believe I just heard on the Radio that Conoco-Phillips said the samething regarding 4-th quarter earnings. Just irks me.

I do not like being gouged either, but capitalism is what makes this country great.

I'm totally for capitalism MM. But I guess greed is just too powerful. The nice thing for me is I only live 4.5 miles from my work. It only takes 3-5 minutes longer riding a bicycle than driving. I feel like I may resort more to my fiance's county's lifestyle. Drive only when neccessary. Hmmm I wonder if I have enough room in my backyard for a horse?

here is a fact the politicians seem to ignore, the oil companies make around 9 cents a gallon selling gas, there is 42 cents in taxes on that same gallon that is between state and federal taxes.

Well, than maybe you can tell me. Are the constant price fluctuations due to gov't taxes or cost of oil?

Just heard that FTC is going to look into whether this is taking place. So I guess we will have to sit back and let our gov't do their job?

It's ironic, Cuba and Mexico both drill in the Gulf of Mexico freely, with no eco-nazis screaming at them, but if the evil U.S. dares to drill there, then it has to come with a million regulations.

So how is it that the oil industry is only evil once it is Americans working to keep the pumps flowing?

It would have been perfect if he had used their symbol instead of name.

The Oil companies do not set the price of oil.  The free market does.  Not even communist China can dictate what the price of a barrell will be, they can only influence the price at the pump through fees and taxes.
