America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Yours, not someone elses that you have.

Because of the nature of things in life we do not get to hold on to many things from childhood, I was wondering what do you have? How old is it?

Mine is a piece of wood about 20 inches by 40 inches with a map of the United States drawn on it, by me when I was a cub scout

Age of me when done, 9 years old, age of my possession 50 years.

My own personal item it a little infant pillow I have had since I was born. It is still the most comforting item ever.(although it looks rough) It has had patches added over the years, but I still sleep with it *blush*
Age of my pillow 23 years

My oldest possesssion is the blanket I was bunddled up in just moments after I was born.
It is one of those blue thermal blankets. Of course it is no longer blue. It is more gray. It is also torn up a bit from various run-ins with the vaccume cleaner and the nieghbors dog.
In my possesion for 26 years.

Well, I threw away my yearbooks back in 96 when I sold my home...so the only thing I have
left is my baby book. It has a record of things I did at certain ages.
I think that's all I have of mine from years ago. An uncle of mine sent me a bible
from Montanna when I was 12, and last fall I gave to his only daughter ( her parents divorced
when she was a baby) as she had nothing from him.

OMG they had trees when you were a kid Mod???
Seriosly though... I think the oldest thing I have is a dog tag issued to me when I was in the 1st Grade. We had to wear it around our neck. We had air raid drills in schools in those days...we had to get under our desks and put the dog tags in our mouths. Then, after the Russians bombed us, the Principal would be able to identify us from the dog tag and notify our parents. It has my fathers name on it and home address so he could be notified.
Any wonder why my generation is so screwed up? We actually believed the Principal....

i seem to remember those days...

I do not want to say I am old but when God said "let there be light" I was the electrician that did the wireing.

I'd say it would have to be one of my old stuffed animals. I think the big brown bear that has the Commonwealth Games patch on it. The year it was in Edmonton so I'd say that was about 1978 or so I would have been 4, so it's 29 years old. I think I'm 33. Sounds silly but I consciously stopped keeping track when I hit 30. One neat thing we have that's super old is a receipt for the local paper here. When we moved in we moved an appliance and behind it was a paper receipt for the paper here from 1926. Like 80 years old or something. In pencil too. Our house was built in 1917 so it's kind of neat to see something like that. I'm a days-gone-past history buff so I enjoy imagining what life was like back then. I delivered the paper when I was younger so I could easily imagine some kid painstakingly filling in the receipt house after house week after week....Plus I enjoy thinking of how many people must have lived in our house before we ever bought it. It's fun thinking about the past.

WHAT FOR? I can't imagine throwing away my history like that.

Sadly, for various and sundry reasons, I possess nothing from my childhood but memories. I think maybe the oldest thing I own now is a pair of boots about 5 years old. Oh well, maybe my tattoos, one of which is over 20 years old.

That's one thing that can't be taken away from you by others I know it'd be great to have something, yet "things" are
part of the memory and you have memories. I hope your memories are good ones.
my mom used to burn our toys if we left them
on the floor, so many toys went up in smoke....

Of all things, I have a rock I picked up in a riverbed in Colorado in 1967 or '68 when I was 6 or 7. It sits by my backdoor today.
