First lets start with the spate of highjacking of airliners in the 70s and 80s, who did this?> Fundamentel muslims terrorist, henceforth shall be called FMT.

The attack on the olympics in 1978, who did this? FMT.

The attack on the united states embassy in kenya 1998. Who did this? fmt

The attack on the united states embassy in tanzinia 1998. Who did this? fmt

Pan-am flight 103 bombed over lockerbie. Who did this? fmt

The bombing of the u.s.s. cole in yemen 2000. Who did this? fmt

the first attack on the world trade center. 1993. who did this? fmt

The sneak attack on the world trade center 2001 killing close to 3000. Who did this? fmt

The attacks on russian airliners and schools 2004. Who did this? fmt

What does fmt have in common?

they are all between the ages of 17 and 50 mostly male.

So what sense does it make to make my 5ft 2 BLUE EYES redhaired wife strip down for a search in order to fly?

She flies about 8 times a year for buisness.

Does.nt it make sense to have all middle eastern males put thru the grinder before allowing them to fly?

No says the ALCU..whats idiots.

This is just one of the political correctness issues I have with the nutjobs here in america.

I can't remember the color of Timothy McVeigh's hair.

I dont remember him hijacking a plane either.

He didn't, but he is a terrorist and the poster only made mention of terrorists not hijackers. Terrorists and hijackers are two seperate entites that sometimes merge - don't confuse the two.

There were no mistakes A nazi can be a nazi as long as they desire. When they start beating jews in the streets, then they must be dealt with.

I totally agree with you here - but propaganda that promotes violence is also a line that needs to be drawn - and there are such laws in our societies. Some of the people in this post are trending very closely to that line.

Messybuu, I agree it's that tone of irrational temper tantrums and Nazi accusations that really seems to infuriate and ruin whatever goal they wish to accomplish..They stop sounding rational, therefore their ideals start sounding irrational.

Look at my second responce (Reply #7) very rational - very cool headed. I agree my first post was out of anger but I haven't heard one good reason why my post was irrational - yet there you go making that claim. Also, AGAIN, I DIDN"T ACCUSE ANYONE of Nazism - only a warning that THEIR tone was such that it could illicit such a responses.

I dont see where the issue of racial profiling at airports has anything to do with a truck full of fertilizer.  You are squirming too much. He clearly said:

I dont know about you, but I dont go to the airport for my health, but to catch a flight (and dont give me the crap about picking someone up as you would not be subject to search in that case).

YOu lost the case.  Next time, fly with only Muslim Men between 17 and 50. If you dare.

you guys need to stop argueing over petty detailes and know that if racial profiling helps to stop terrorism then its good. Until a better way is submitted and aproved then it will do. Yes, some airports need reform in that area but so many other ways are put into action to stop terrorism. My dad just spent a week training to carry a gun on the airplanes as a captain for America Airlines.

Reply By: greywarPosted: Wednesday, December 22, 2004i grantee it will stop the next attack from a plane.I wouldn't go that far but it certainly stands a better chance of stopping it than searching his wife because her number came up and NOT searching Abu Jihad standing behind her because we are afraid of being politically incorrect. Al Qaeda certainly didn't worry about political correctness when it attacked the US.

nothing is for certain but I would like to hedge flights by screening those that should be screened first

It doesn't matter if you dont' fit the profile. I know it's for our safety, and I applaud that, but there are times when they go too far, while the person to be checked is sneaking behind them

there just comes a time when searching a maine grandmother AND her greatgrandchilds stuffed toy while they let abdullah al shamir walk thru is JUST TO FAR unjust

Reply By: mismosPosted: Wednesday, December 22, 2004If the government knew that a group of angry young male Mexicans with shaved heads and tattoos on their scalps planned to blow up an INS building in Texas, would they therefore have cause to do a strip-search on a middle-aged blonde Canadian lady crossing the border at Niagara Falls? This is a specific event and not a generilization. You know of a specific group of Mexicans and a target. A terrorist can be any nationality (American), any religion (Christian), and age or sex, and strike anywhere in the world at any particular group. To just say muslims are to be targeted because of a few cases would be like me pointing out of bunch of terrible things that a group of Americans or Christians have done (and lists have been compilied) and then preceding to paint all Americans/Christians with the same brush. It just doesn't work to generlize large groups of people like this, it is the product of a weak mind the can't grasp the larger picture. Anyone can be a terrorist - even people who feel they have good intentions yet still spread terror over the internet through bigotry and ignorance. How is 'detecting a pattern' in any way equal to spreading hate? I think you are on the wrong thread, or are spouting out of more than one oriface. The problem is that you are forcing the pattern - if I throw into your list the names of shit loads of other terrorists that are not muslim than you no longer have any pattern. The pattern you create is extremely weak because only a very small percentage of muslims are terrorists (the same goes for and religion).Learn to think and not just opinionate - you guys are colour-blind to the world - it's not just black and white.

never said ALL muslims are bad guys just stated a fact about several events that were perpratrated by muslims....

Reply By: Helix the IIPosted: Wednesday, December 22, 2004Usually the first people to yell Nazi are the first people to yell fire in a crowded theatre without provacation. It is an over-reaction, an exaggerated response of the very narrow-minded PC crowd. The hate they spew the second someone suggests anything that's even half-way logical (but offensive to a group of people) is on level if not above the hatred of the groups they protest and behave vehemently towards. Mismos, your outburst and extreme reaction over the article is as unreasonable, hate filled, and narrow minded as any KKK or Nazi member. Someone disagrees with you, you insult them, slander them. accuse them of being hateful (with venom in your own voice) and shout to the mountain tops that they are unresonable hate-mongers.. when the evil poison courses through your very veins. No, the world isn't just black and white, but you have no place telling others what colors they must accept because you do.

Now thats a to the point and logigalresponse. have a insitefull cream filled cookie

Reply By: ParaTed2kPosted: Wednesday, December 22, 2004I am a Red-headed, Blue-Eyed, Freckle-faced, left-handed, colorblind, Mormon, Disabled, Military Retiree. I only fly a few times a year, but everytime I have flown, I have been "Randomized". I wonder how many other Red-headed, Blue-Eyed, Freckle-faced, left-handed, colorblind, Mormon, Disabled, Military Retirees get "randomized" everytime they fly? I would bet that the percentage of Red-headed, Blue-Eyed, Freckle-faced, left-handed, colorblind, Mormon, Disabled, Military Retirees who get "randomized" 100% of the time they fly is pretty high.Strange that we are so profiled, I can't think of any terrorists who have been (or seemed to be) Red-headed, Blue-Eyed, Freckle-faced, left-handed, colorblind, Mormon, Disabled, Military Retirees. ;~D

all the while letting jama el kalil muhammed and his family walk thru untouched because heaven forbid we might get called racist.. BAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
