America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Not a plea to stay nor a plea period.

I guess going through what I just went through last January has put things into a sharper perspective for me.

I see people writing article about differing things and lo and behold someone or many someones just have to take what is written PERSONAL, and treat the writer like a blood enemy, attack the writer, try to demean the writer and in many cases do their best to try to run the writer off Joeuser and sometimes they succeed. Many times it just becomes to damn painful for me to write an article that turns ugly. I am finding out this is just not worth the time or the stress it brings to my life while I am busy healing.

In the last couple visits I have seen Parated exit, and it looks like a forever exit.. I shall miss him.. I have seen Bakerstreet fade away and even though baker and I clash at times I miss him too. Too many good people have just left Joeuser because of all the friction and slowly I am leaning in that direction too. Soon there will be nothing left but folks that continue to intentionally misread things so feuds can start, wars can flare up, sides get chosen and cyber blood flows. This once wonderful site has slowly degenerated into "pick-a-fight.com." and it's a crying shame.

This is just my honest opinion about what I see recently, it is not aimed at anyone in particular, it was not written to start a fight with anyone, it was not written so people would rally around and ask me to stay. It was written because it is what I SEE THESE DAYS, nothing more, nothing less.

Hey MM, I hope you stay. I guess some of us have simply stopped posting controversial articles for the reason you state.  I am not trying to drive anyone away, least of all those I disagree with.  But some seem on a vendetta, and those we just have to ignore.  We dont need JU to be du.org.

JU has always been this way, MM, and in fact, I think it's calmed down a LOT since my first months here. I think your recent brush with death has just made you more sensitive to it.

Sorry I didn't have time to chat when you called this afternoon, I'll give you a buzz tomorrow if that's ok.

I am out of minutes sabrina, till the 11th, call today or the 11th or it will cost me 40 cents a minute to yak and when you and I get going we yak 45 minutes plus.

Maybe whip is right doc, my brush with death has made me over sensitive to stuff. time will tell.

I try to not get into the fray. Yes, occassionally I have had my feelings hurt and I do not post as much personal stuff as I used to. I still think there are lots of fun people to interact with on JU such as moi - lol.

This stuff is definitely cyclical, and has come and gone a lot since I've been around JU.  I see people that I like fade away for a while and then later return when their batteries are recharged and things are better for them.  I miss the folks you mention and hope they come back soon, but I'm sure that things will keep going in the cycle.

There will be people on either side of the conservative vs. liberal debate that will keep fighting with the other side.  It is just the nature of the political fight in both sides.  Perhaps that is why I've done more articles in other areas over time, because doing the same old stuff gets boring for everyone, especially me.

Anyway, I hope you don't go running off on us MM.  Instead consider doing some articles on other topics and just avoid the politics for a while.  Talk about pets, music, sports, TV or movies.  Anything you want.  Give us a better look at the real you.  And ignore the politics for a while and let yourself rest up more in that area.  Especially considering we are still a good ways from 2008.  No need to get riled up about things this far away from the next election anyway

hmmmm, I've been very busy the past few days. It seems I missed a few things.

In any public forum there are going to be some who are antagonistic. It's just human nature as some people simply that way. I try to just ignore them.

It's a shame to lose good people because of a few bad ones.

If you'll notice, I avoid the controversy/argumentative stuff like the plague here. I have enough of that crap in real life and so I certainly don't need it here. I come here to relax and write a little bit and interact with a few friends and NOT to argue and endlessly debate some issue that I can't do a thing about changing in the first place.

It's a shame to lose good people because of a few bad ones.

Ditto that. You're one of the good ones. Stay.

Hey MM, I don't see you as being "over sensitive" at all. I think it's smart to listen to our feelings and care about our health enough to avoid stress, wherever or whatever we perceive it to be.

I'll sure miss you if you go, I love ya

Lots of well wishes and hugs for you xoxooxooxox continue being good to yourself and maybe you can pop in every once in a while?

Hi, MM, hope you are doing well.

As for leaving JU, I won't make a plea, but will just say that the door is permanently open for you if or when you decide to continue blogging on a regular basis.

I try too mason, but sometimes the hatred expressed is so virulent it is hard to ignore
