Moderate Man is in the Hospital

Hi Folks - this is Colleen, Elie's other half. I wanted to let those of you that know Elie, know that he is in the hospital in serious condition. He has some sort of viral infection that has impacted all of his systems, including his brain. I took him in Friday morning and he has been in the ICU since then.

For those of you that know and care for Elie, I ask for your prayers or other kind thoughts into the universe for his recovery.

I will try to post something again soon. I apologize for the "public" forum, but the truth is, I don't really know how to use the blog, so this is the best I could do.

Thanks in advance for your positive thoughts for Elie.

UPDATE: I spoke with Elie briefly yesterday. Very briefly. He's still awful sick, folks, bedridden and weak, so please please keep those thoughts and prayers going. It grieves me to hear him sound so bad...we need to channel some positive energy his way.

However, just as I did for Brandie's JU Baby Shower, I would be happy to forward any cards, letters, or packages to him, as long as no one wants to mail a load of bricks or a bowling ball, lol, that can get a little expensive to remail!

Just play mail pong - in Australia you can just cross out the address, write "Moved" and write in a new one and, so long as the package isn't altered in any way, just shove it back in the mailbox. You might want to give the post office a call about sending stuff on just to confirm that's allowed in the US but if it works then that'll save you a fair amount of money.

HI all,
Just got off the phone with Elie and he asked me to pass along an update. He wants to thank all of you that has sent cards and sent thoughts and prayers to him and for him he is deeply appreciative. He is still very weak and tires easily. HE does not plan to come back here to Ju land til he is way better, he wanted to let you all know that. He will come back when his health permits. I for one am glad that he will be taking the best care of himself as he can. I will update you all when he lets me know t. I would like to say thank you to all of you. Elie means a lot to me and knowing that he has so many pulling for him, warms this old recovering alkie heart right up.
