WHY? Damn it! WHY do women do this?

Maybe someone can tell me why.

OK lets start off with men are wired differently than women are, this is neither bad nor good, it just is the truth.

Now, A woman complains about something, be it the floor that has a stain that will not come out, or the dishes are to high for them to reach them, whatever the complaint is men HEAR, HELP ME, even if the woman does not want help, that is what men hear.. help me, fix this!, make this better!.

Now women for the most part, as least the women that are aware know this, yet they {the independant ones} complain when we drop everything to rush to their rescue!

Why? Knowing that if you women say something, your man wants to fix it, complain? why? why ?

I think it's because women are communicators. They just want to express themselves and for us to listen.

At least I'm pretty sure that's what I was told. I can't be positive because I wasn't listening.

That's the truth though. Women are wired differently. The problem is not the real issue for them. Their feelings about the problem is the issue. So you can keep expecting this kind of thing to happen. ( I read about this in a book written by men, so I didn't have to listen to a woman to learn it)

Sometimes we're just venting, not expecting you to solve our problem *for* us.

I have learned this, BUT!!!! we are wired to want to fix things for you. Nothing will change that, we have our mothers to thank for that! THANX MOM!!

We vent to people we care about because we hope they will listen and love us anyway!

Then promptly forget about it when we've decided its no longer venting worthy.

All vents should start with "No action is required on your part aside from listening."

I try to say something along those lines when I need to talk with my hubby. His whole posture relaxes!

I wouldn't know anything about women doing this. I learned a long time ago to just tune out everything they say. The punishment for failing to listen to them is always the same and even when you do "hear them" you are always guilty of "not listening" to them.

The female mind is the most fickle thing ever invented, so why even try to understand it?

Yeah...I'll have to agree with the other comments up there. It seems women just like to vent or as I've heard it put, "Go through the journey of communication and discovery" whereas us men, well, we want to FIX it and then stop worrying.

I don't know...I just try not to make them mad...that's all I can do.

Simple, MM. We are not allowed to understand them, as if we did, then we would still be in Eden, and not have sinned against God. God dictated a certain time of the month for women, and men's punishment was to live with them during said time.
