America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Published on July 30, 2006 By Moderateman In War on Terror

If you use terms like "disproportionate response" after all isn't that the idea? to overwhelm the enemy?

If you weep about the Lebanese "civilians deaths" while ignoring the rockets and missiles and Ieds that kill innocent civilians in Israel.

Really think that somehow it is wrong for Israel to defend herself as SHE SEES FIT, when attacked with no provocation.

I have been reading the articles here for a couple days now and am amazed that so many here are undercover and sometimes not so under cover out and out Jew-haters. It is almost like the holocaust never happened. For thousands of years it has been the thing to do, hate Jews and be smug about it.

I really do not care if you hate me because I am a Jew that refuses to play by your rules, the fact that you play by one set and we Jews must play by another.

No we are not going to go away, we will continue to bomb what you call innocent people that allow themselves to be used as staging platforms for terrorist attacks.

I will gladly name names if I need to, but..... you know who you are, now just own up to it, you hate Jews, be proud of your hatred, step right out there and stop hiding.

it's when I see excuses being made for the terrorist, such as "israel over reacted" when I ask for what a proper reaction might be, i get nothing in return. Plus the words chosen in the reply or article lead me to believe it's not about governments, but the poeple within the borders they hold in such distain.

I just saw this so apologies for replying to a long-gone post - for reference it's no. 26.

As someone accused of hating Jews by Moderateman I think I should make clear that I have said what I think an appropriate reaction to the kidnapping of soldiers would be. Firstly it should be diplomatic - demand the return of the soldiers, at the same time threatening war if Israeli demands were not met. Then give an ultimatum stating that operations will commence on a certain date (a week would be long enough to allow outsiders to leave). If they had done that I would have no problems with the Israeli move to make war; they would have made enough of an effort to resolve their problem without violence.

As for the way Israel makes war I think they do it stupidly. They launch strikes against civilian targets and yet leave survivors who will grow up to hate Israel, thus turning a new generation against Israel and laying the seeds of future conflict. In my view they should stick to one of the two proven methods of victory in war - total lack of discrimination in targets or a total concern for choice of targets. The stick or the carrot, in other words.

By alternately vacillating between being nice and being total bastards they severely limit their chances of long-term success and merely guarantee that Lebanon and Palestine will be hotbeds of anti-Israel fervour for yet another generation. This is stupid, wastes lives to no purpose and I won't support it. If that's the sure sign of anti-Semitism then I guess I'll just have to wait for the other symptoms to present (foaming mouth and a 10 figure Hollywood salary).

But If they try and protect themselves then Europe and the UN chime in. NO! they say, you can't do that. That's disproportionate. You can't kill those poor, underpriviledged Arabs.

UBOB,

Have you read Albert Pike's work??? Frightenly he offers some explanation.

Cacto, I am trying to understand but if the UN and other countries would put pressure on Lebanon on returning the captured soldiers this whole fiasco would not have started. STOP THIS NONESENSE!!!! By what you say you are saying that Israel should just continue to tolerate the constant attacks. That is SUCH BS! THESE PEOPLE WANT ISRAEL IRRADICATED. There is not peace with them. To think otherwise is absolutely ludicrus. I have YET to see anyone that say Israel over reacted to admit that this would war would have never happened had they returned their soldiers. Too many people here are sitting back snubbing their noses Israel and feeling sorry for the Bully that started it all. Ignoramus!

this is what gets me the most, no one posting wants to look at this fact, while factoring in why Israel is fighting so hard. They do not want peace with Israel, they want them dead and gone.

That's the conclusion I come to. Scary enough it follows Albert Pike's view.

no conclusion is necessary AD, the Hamas and the Hezbollah hand book clearly states they want the eradication of Israel to return it to a Muslim land. I wonder if the Christians of Lebanon have thought about this.

How do answer the families of the 600 that have died for no reason. The capture of three does not justify KILLING 600 and destroying major sections of two countries.

Gene who are you to speak? You have YET to acknowledge ANY of the innocent people that have been brutally murdered, kidnapped and raped before they offensive to Lebanon.

You're so right, Col. We should begin preparing reparations immediately for the good citizens of Normandy who were injured in our landing on June 6, 1944, or for the good citizens of Berlin who suffered less than a year later. Never in history have citizens had to pay the price for the stupid actions of their leaders, and we shouldn't start now.

Thanks for opening my eyes to these facts, Col. By the way, when Hezbollah starts opening up the concentration camps after Israel disarms, I'll give them your name. After all, with your experience, you would make a splendid administrator for such an operation.

(as a sidenote: when did Israeli babies get to be worth less than Lebanese babies?)

They gained it as a 'percieved' value compliments of our media.

Well MM I am praying Israel kicks ass and takes names....but that's just me.

There is one way to end this war today. If the Lebanese people stand up and act against the terrorists, by arresting them and destroying their ammo.

Why don't they do it?

Can you imagine living and working in a neighborhood while someone next door brings bombs down on your head? I can't. I'd do something, anything, to make it stop.

Call it neighborhood watch on an extreme level.

The fact is, the innocent people don't want to give up their terrorists. If they did..this war would be over.

What is the old saying....all evil needs to prosper is when good men do nothing? Something like that.

Reminds me of the story of the family who offered a $2500 reward for anyone who found their lost dog. Every month the dog goes missing, and every month someone brings it back and collects the money.
