America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~

If you use terms like "disproportionate response" after all isn't that the idea? to overwhelm the enemy?

If you weep about the Lebanese "civilians deaths" while ignoring the rockets and missiles and Ieds that kill innocent civilians in Israel.

Really think that somehow it is wrong for Israel to defend herself as SHE SEES FIT, when attacked with no provocation.

I have been reading the articles here for a couple days now and am amazed that so many here are undercover and sometimes not so under cover out and out Jew-haters. It is almost like the holocaust never happened. For thousands of years it has been the thing to do, hate Jews and be smug about it.

I really do not care if you hate me because I am a Jew that refuses to play by your rules, the fact that you play by one set and we Jews must play by another.

No we are not going to go away, we will continue to bomb what you call innocent people that allow themselves to be used as staging platforms for terrorist attacks.

I will gladly name names if I need to, but..... you know who you are, now just own up to it, you hate Jews, be proud of your hatred, step right out there and stop hiding.

Yes MM, isn't it amazing how the word "disproportionate" instantly transforms the victim into the aggressor in all the world press. How Orwellian.

I don't hate Jews. I especially don't hate you. I used the term disproportionate in my title and article because that was what I saw in the paper and on the television. It wasn't my term.

I care about non-combatants being killed. I think it is wrong no matter who is on the other end of the gun, bomb, etc. I don't care if they are Jewish, Israeli, Muslim or Lebanese.

I think if the Israeli's enemies are islamic fascist, kill the islamic fascist not hundreds of innocent people. I just don't think that when you have a enemy that is not a state sponsored, uniform wearing army, you can't wage war on the country unless that country has the power to order them to cease fire and they immediately do.

I also think the holocaust was a horrible and terrible thing but I don't think that gives Israeli's a free pass to do whatever they want for the rest of time.

What's saddest of all, moderateman, is that in less than 5 years since 9/11, we've begun sympathizing with the killers.

Perhaps we should propose the idea of scrapping the ground zero memorial and replacing it with a memorial to the 19 "freedom fighters". After all, that's what Cindy Sheehan and her ilk are doing. And by sympathizing with Hezbollah, that is what the American media is doing.

but the Hezbollah terrorists are using these innocent people as human shields, loca. They're launching missiles from these locations, then bringing in the media as soon as Israel responds to show the "atrocities" of Israel. They are, in effect, brainwashing our media. And our "Beirut Bobs" are falling for their propaganda, hook, line, and sinker.

The babies of Israel being attacked by Hezbollah's missiles matter just as much.

I agree 100%. I care about them just as much. There are no easy answers. I would like to make smart bombs that only kill the bad guys. I would like everyone in the middle east to decide to live in peace and harmony and just leave each other alone, well really I would like that for the whole world. Of course, that sounds like a beauty pageant answer. It's just a tragic situation.

I really want to say that I am not "for" hezbollah. I am for peace. I hope that I never came across as supporting the terrorists because I don't in any way support them and what they do and have done.

I understand that, loca, and I appreciate that. But any peace brought about by negotiating with killers is a false peace at best. Think about it. What does Israel want out of this conflict? Their own nation. What does Hezbollah want? The extermination of Jews. In light of that, which side's demands are more reasonable?

One person put it best when he said (and I am paraphrasing, badly): "If Hezbollah puts down its weapons, the violence will cease to exist. If Israel puts down its weapons, ISRAEL will cease to exist".

In all honesty, living and breathing here in B/F nowhere Texas, I've only met 2 Jews in my life that I am aware of- one of whom married my niece and the other which is his father. Both are two of the finest men I have ever met.

How Israel fights Israel's battles is Israel's business as far as I'm concerned.

and how do we go about this< they blend into the civilian population, try to pick a terrorist if there is one in a room of Arabs.

it's thinking like this, that somehow we Jew2s must magically know who is a terrorist and who is not, that just shows me people do not care for real about civilian deaths as long as it suits there purpose of trashing Israel.
