249,000 New Iraqi Troops continue to fight for freedom!!!!

While a certain cowardly Bush hater points out what 1,000 cowards did I thought the other number should be shown!!

So a small percentage of troops quit!!!! Americans ran like hell in vietnam!!!!! Many deserted!!!!!

The vast majority contine to fight for there countries freedeom,!!!!!

Good for you men of Iraq~!!!

Fight on!!!! Do Not listen to cowardly members of our country!!!!!

First, most admit that Vietnam was not our finest hour. Our military fought bravely and died but in the end we were involved in a civil war just like the French told us. We were feed the BS that if Vietnam fall all of South East Asia would fall-- The domino theory. Well that proved to be a lie. The people of Vietnam did not support the regime we tried to prop up in the south.

In Iraq we have allowed the sectarian hatred that has existed in Iraq since the British formed Iraq to boil over because when we deposed Saddam we were unable to keep the factions from reemerging and creating the violence you see day after day. The three factions were kept from conducting the type of violence we see today by POWER First the British and then Saddam. We went into that country with a force strong enough to defeat Saddam but not strong enough to prevent the sectarian violence that is taking place now. We lost control within about three months of deposing Saddam. It may take an all out civil war to establish what will take hold in Iraq and we can not get drawn into a civil war!

No matter what anyone says, Bush avoided Vietnam by going into the Guard just like Cheney and Clinton used deferments to avoid service.

This colonel has more love and regard for our great nation then to see it destroyed by the likes of the people that are in power today. I respect the lives of our military more then to send them into battle under false pretenses. This Country WAS NOT in ANY danger from Iraq and yet we asked then to risk and in some cases give up their lives. There is no greater wrong that a country can do then to sacrifice the lives of its military for a LIE!

WE did not tell them they were going into Iraq to give the Iraqi People a chance to vote. WE did not tell them it was to remove an evil dictator. We told them there was the danger of a mushroom cloud over one or more of their cities. A FLAT OUT LIE that Bush and Cheney knew was not true when that stood in front of the people of this country and LIED! Anyone that supports them is just as bad as they are for sending our military to a fight that did not make us safer and was not because we were in danger!!!!!

if there really are 249,000 iraqi troops capable of fighting for anything other than what they're told by sectarian imams & emirs (which i guess might possibly qualify as 'freedom'--as in 'freedom to avenge tribal grudges from the 8th to the 21st century'), yall might have a point (other than the one on dr 'i know saddam had 500 tons of yellowcake cuz i read it at worldweeklynewsdotnet' miler's head).

as to the 1000 renegade troops, you may or may not remember the brilliant early on in vietnam strategy of providing automatic rifles to each lil collection of hootches in the south (the rationale being to ensure they could protect themselves).

40 years from now, some of yall just may find our iraqi military training program as astounding as i still do the decision to 'hey why don't we give the vietcong a couple thousand new automatic weapons to replace those old muskets n shit they're using now?'
