ANTI-SEMITISM FROM THE LEFT A NEW SLANT ON THE "SELF NAMED CHAMPIONS OF JUSTICE"

Anti-Semitism on the Left is generally not spoken about, but it's real and appears to be growing. For those inclined, it's easy to slip from denunciations' of Israeli policy - many on the Left, are quite vocal on occasion in opposing Israeli policies and actions - to out-and-out anti-Semitism.

It's often difficult to locate that fine line. Jew-haters often can hide their true feelings and arguments inside broadsides against Israeli policy, but those opposed vehemently to certain Israeli policies.

Certainly, the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee has no problem: anybody writing anything in opposition to Israeli policies is seldom rightly smeared with the "anti-Semitic" or "Jew-hater" brush; if they happen to be Jewish, they are labeled "self-hating Jew" While if a conservative emulated the same behaviors they would be tared, feathered and run of of politics.
But since the Elite Media is so heavily slanted to the left and slurs go unreported as long as it's a lefty doing the slurring.

How can we forget the words of another champion of free speech and justice Hillary Clinton calling someone that offended her a "JEW BASTARD" just a few months ago. Just more examples of how the left is filled with hypocrites and racists.

We seem to have forgotten it was the left that stood in the way of the civil rights acts for so many years and it was the right that finally pushed the act through into law.

The left disinformation machine, aided and abetted by the MSM is a potent force, they completely re-write history and somehow make the right into the racist.

Got a link for the Clinton thing? I would like to see the context of that.

I think people blur being anti-Israel and anti-Jew, to be fair. You can oppose Israel and not be anti-semitic, and even a lot of Jews don't agree with Israels behavior many times.

I do think that such politics mixed with a disdain for organized religion can synthesize into something very much like anti-semitism, but you'll never get anyone to admit it. I think most people on the Left that you'd characterize as anti-semitic hate fundamentalist, white Christians just as much.

The problem is the hate, really, not necessarily who they hate. There's hate on both sides to be sure, but the Left in America have the perspective that their world is quickly going down the toilet, so they are getting more angry and desperate all the time.

I'm on the left and don't sense the desperation.
Ant-semetism applies to Palestinians and Palestinian Jews. The criticism that prevails concerning Israel is that it is a nation of European and American jews, not Semites.

i'd love to see the names of those on the left (not dixiecrats like thrurmond whose 'southern strategy' proved an open invitation for his fellow racists--none of whom had any love for jews--to switch parties)who worked against passage of civil rights legislation. also keep in mind that republicans such as eisenhower, dirkson, rockerfeller, scranton, etc. would very likely be considered looney lefties today (hell drmiler claims rick santorum aint a true republican).

It was actually 1974, and you can find it on the CNN archives.  The context was that she was angry.  She denies now that she said it, but unfortunately for her, there were too many witnesses to it, and miraculously, many of them are still alive.

Here is 2 off the top of my head.  Robert Byrd, and Al Gore.

How about another couple.  Wallace and Fulbright.  How about another. Orval Faubus. And.....

What the hell, you do your own leg work.

eisenhower, dirkson, rockerfeller
and the Jew from NY Senator Javits.

The main reason they claim not to be is that they[Christian RIght] need the existence of Israel and Jerusalem for the Judgment Day, which is bad news for the Semites!

that would be states rightist faubus who (altho he did desegregate public transportation in arkansas in the mid-50s) also forced eisenhower to send federal troops to little rock to enforce brown vs bd of ed? yup a true liberal.

william fulbright dixiecrat. liberal? anti-war maybe but...

elder senator gore dixiecrat. byrd dixiecrat

i don't suppose you're referring to henry wallace who was a liberal as well as the progressive party candidate for president (coretta scott campaigned for him btw).

i'm guessing you're tryin to pass ol george 'segrah-gay-shun foh-evah' wallace off as a liberal. not that he--nor lurleen--coulda voted for or against the civil rights act.

you forgot such other liberal standard bearers as ross barnett, the asshole who handed out axe handles at his chickenshack and an assortment of others who very likely were checkin under their bed to see if ronald 'the red' reagan was lurkin there.

you're really sad.

You did not say liberal, you said left.  What you call a liberal and I call a liberal may be 2 different things, but they are on the left.  You can now try to bob and weave (which you are doing very poorly), but you asked, and I supplied.

You really are sad.  When faced with the proof, you have to run and hide and try to excuse and reclassify.  Face it, you accuse me of not admiting when I am wrong, even when faced with links to that very fact (which you then never respond to), but when you are proven wrong, you cant say you are wrong.  YOu are sad, very sad, tired as well. You are the best thing for conservatives, and the worst thing for liberals.  An arrogant liar that cannot admit when they are wrong.

I gave you a handful, you might want to be honest and go dig up the rest for yourself and post a mea culpa.

Nah!  YOu never have, and you never will.

They're just not allowed to be as open about it as Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson and his ilk.

I don't have a link as such, but it was said by Hillary Clinton to political operative Paul Fray. This was revealed in "State of a Union: Inside the Complex Marriage of Bill and Hillary Clinton" and has been verified by Paul Fray and three witnesses.

According to PBS's website, Paul Fray was best man at the Clintons' wedding.

Jew-haters often can hide their true feelings and arguments inside broadsides against Israeli policy

I have seen many on the left (and some on the nationalist right) denounce Israel for actions that any other state can pursue without being criticised. In fact the Palestinians do worse things on a daily basis.

Is such a denouncement anti-Semitic?

The left say no, I think.

But what if the KKK makes the case that blacks who commit crimes should be lynched? After all, they are not racist, merely opposed to crime.

Why are so many people demonstrating against Israel killing Arabs? And why are so very few of these people demonstrating against the Arab genocide against blacks in Sudan (or Arab terrorist attacks against Jews in Israel and elsewhere)? It's not Anti-Semitism, of course. The protesters merely choose their battles. And they always, always fight the Jews. It's pure coincidence.

When the Nazis made their case against Jewish bankers, they were probably just making a case against evil capitalist liberals (in the original sense of the word), not against Jews. Or were they?

It has become difficult.
