ANTI-SEMITISM FROM THE LEFT A NEW SLANT ON THE "SELF NAMED CHAMPIONS OF JUSTICE"

Anti-Semitism on the Left is generally not spoken about, but it's real and appears to be growing. For those inclined, it's easy to slip from denunciations' of Israeli policy - many on the Left, are quite vocal on occasion in opposing Israeli policies and actions - to out-and-out anti-Semitism.

It's often difficult to locate that fine line. Jew-haters often can hide their true feelings and arguments inside broadsides against Israeli policy, but those opposed vehemently to certain Israeli policies.

Certainly, the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee has no problem: anybody writing anything in opposition to Israeli policies is seldom rightly smeared with the "anti-Semitic" or "Jew-hater" brush; if they happen to be Jewish, they are labeled "self-hating Jew" While if a conservative emulated the same behaviors they would be tared, feathered and run of of politics.
But since the Elite Media is so heavily slanted to the left and slurs go unreported as long as it's a lefty doing the slurring.

How can we forget the words of another champion of free speech and justice Hillary Clinton calling someone that offended her a "JEW BASTARD" just a few months ago. Just more examples of how the left is filled with hypocrites and racists.

We seem to have forgotten it was the left that stood in the way of the civil rights acts for so many years and it was the right that finally pushed the act through into law.

The left disinformation machine, aided and abetted by the MSM is a potent force, they completely re-write history and somehow make the right into the racist.

Democrats are left, republicans are right.

What? That's absurd! Left and right are terms used to describe certain sets of political views, not particular parties. They're used all over the world. You can't suddenly claim that only the Democrats and the Republicans have the right to be left or right, or that all Republicans are right and all Democrats left! It's flagranting ignoring history and political reality today, let alone the origins of the directions' meanings.

obviously he can. in his comment # 29, drguy insists:

the fact remains. Democrats are left, republicans are right.

as suddenly as comment #30, he clarifies that position thusly:

You can be a conservative, and not a republican, just as you can be a liberal, and not a democrat.

kingbee: I guess you're right. I forgot for one crazed moment that the good doctors hold the secret to ultimate truth and the music of the spheres. Praise be to God that the moment has passed...

Has there ever been a leftist Republican? At least in the last 100 years? It's late, but I can't think of any offhand. Pardon my brain fart if it is obvious.

The Hillary Clinton remark was alleged in Jerry Oppenheimer's book "State of a Union." Link Linkfor a review.

Sherwood Boehlert, retiring Representative from upstate New York, is considered among the last of the Liberal Republicans. There is an interesting book about the demise of the Liberal wing of the Republican party called "The Party That Lost Its Head" by Gilder and Chapman.

Moderateman makes a good point about the international Liberal agenda becoming increasingly anti-Semetic. It is ironic that many of the early influencers of American Liberalism were Jewish.

YOu can in the US. This was not meant to be a world view statement.

YOu evidently flunked logic. Let me explain it to you slowwwwly.

Just because all of A is in B, does not then translate that all of B is in A.

thanx larry, I been amazed and shocked to still see Jews supporting the democrats, to the tune of 74% in the last presidential election.

MAYBE I am being overly sensative but the way I see it is the Jews are neither acepted by the whites or by the minorities.
