America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
This Bush being compared to Hitler must stop!
Published on March 3, 2006 By Moderateman In Current Events
Yesterday on the news we were treated by a high school geography teacher ranting on how President Bush is following Adolph Hitlers footsteps.

He was recorded by a student in his class and has since been put on administrative leave.

This is ridiculous! We must stop these liberal teachers that are brainwashing our children.

I propose all classes be recorded so that teachers with an agenda of any kind that is not in the syllabus be dismissed.

I wonder how many of these teachers really have an idea how horrendous Hitler was?. How many of the students really grasp the atrocities Hitler committed?

This teacher was teaching a class comprised of 14 and 15 year old students.

yeah but imagine having to audit elementary and middle school classes. hell i could barely stand bein there first time around, much less having to relive it all again day after day after day.

But can you imagine the reunion on This Is Your Life? "Hi, I'm the guy who (semi-)secretly wrote down every single action you made in your entire school history! Do you remember that day you were in kindergarten, Friday 3 June 2008 at 11:04 I think it was, when you said "I wanna go potty? Oh, the memories! And to think you became a state senator!"

I think the key is talking to your kids at home. If they have a good working knowledge of your own political beliefs, why you believe them, and why they differ from other people, then they'll be able to decide for themselves. Otherwise, I don't think you're ever going to get most idiot teachers from rattling on.

I had too many that thought it was their job to COMBAT what we learned at home. It's a shame for kids whose parents send them to school as empty vessels, but in the end if it isn't going to be politics it will be the mandated "sensitivity" values imposed at school.

lemme see you are now telling me what I can type or not? hmmm more LIBERAL thinking, if you do not agree with a LIBERAL steven they tell you what you can do and not do now? hmmm sounds like YOUR thinking is in line with other LIBERALS, like mao, stalin, hitler saddam, pol pot.

Reply By: kingbeePosted: Monday, March 06, 2006I propose all classes be recorded imagine having to monitor all those recordings. maybe we can get a dubai company to transcriptions? We don't need taxpayer money going to wiring all the classrooms, we have students who are willing to take notes and record lecturesencouraging students to denounce their teachers worked for hitler, stalin and the red guard during china's cultural revolution. once they get good at it, perhaps we can have em start taping their neighbors and parents.

kingbee, this boy took it upon himself to record the ranting teacher, I supposed it would be ok if he recored a rightwing religious nut, right?

Are you sure you really mean that? None of those figures could be even remotely considered liberal, even with the US' crazy twisting of the word's meaning. I'm sorry to say it but you look like an idiot in even making the comparison.

try to remember how much name calling hurt when you were 14 years old, would you subject yourself to that intentionally?

Well, hopefully there is enough support for this 14 year old to overcome the name calling of the weak, whiny teachers who can't be professional to save their lives... oh yeah, and the name calling of some of the incompetent teachers' supporters.

Once again you prove your ignorance with your rhetoric.

If a teacher is NOT teaching the students the subject they are paid to teach, they are nothing but thieves, cashing paychecks they didn't earn.

Apparently you consider that admirable... Somehow that doesn't suprise me.

The NSA has already got it covered, thanks!

I agree with this, but I find the idea that students record teachers disconcerting because of the possiblity for taking things out of context and blowing perfectly innocent statments all out of proportion.

Not that I am applying that to this teacher in question. Obviously, something strange going on. But I think this situation opens the door in a way that could prove very hard to close later. And I don't only mean in an educational setting.

You want we should just read to them out of a government approved book, Mod? One written by you and your gang of reactionaries? That's not the way teaching works, and maybe if you had paid a bit more attention in school, you might have noticed it.

But as for your article's title question: you shoot them. And you should do it yourself, thereby ridding the world of two crazies when they commit you. It's for the kids! It's for the country! Land of the Dumb, Home of the Kooks!

i can be such a dumbass at times. from now on, i promise to run my responses past you before posting them in order to minimize my chances of being wrong.

i guess there's no sense in pointing out i was reacting to a call for recording every classroom and the subsequent observation that if all students recorded everything their teachers said, no extra funds would be needed to accomplish that recording every classroom thing.

apparently you find both those suggestions admirable and necessary--which, quite frankly, does surprise me. i really hadn't thought of you as one of those 'let's put a camera and microphone on every lamppost' big brother kinda guys.

nope am all for teachers teaching with whatever works, not for ranting teachers throwing out thier own political views under the guise of teaching.

As a school principal in another country I wonder whether a radical teacher can pass 5 tests:
- Has he/she had a psychological profile?
- Is he/she more absorbed by influencing students rather than teaching?
- Is he/she patriotic in any way?
- Is he/she rebellious to authority?
- Is he/she conservative/liberal/radical?

And then comes the "Golden Rule". Fire anyone who teaches children to revolt rather than question; who instigates rather than motivates ; who influences minds rather than allowing minds to make up their own opinions.
