America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Playing the Race card.

Just a observation, Lets imagine a million man march with nothing but white people.
Lets form a congressional white caucus, How about a national association for the advancement of white people?
How about a miss white America contest?

How about scholarships for white minorities? How about white people getting the inside track for jobs only because they are white?

How about Bill O'reilly pointing out that he thinks Sean Penn, Tim Robbins and Danny Glover should be ashamed of themselves and being called a racist by Glover.

Can any white person say anything to a minority and not be called a racist? Can I write this article and not be thought of as a racist?

How about a white coach being fired from his job for saying blacks are better athletes because of there blackness, and a black coach saying the same thing and not being fired?

There seems to be too damn much INEQUALITY these days, with the deck heavily stacked in favor of minorities.
How about Louis Farrakhan putting for the premise that whites tried to kill blacks by sabotaging the levees in New Orleans? now turn that around and have a white leader say the same thing, that blacks tried to kill whites by sabotage.

How about a major white leader calling Detroit or Cleveland "nigger town" like Jesse Jackson called New York City "Jew York City and Hymie town"

These are just some things I would like answers to.

everytime I write an article like this donna I shudder that it might hurt you, Personally I think of you as human, not white or black, just a sweet woman doing her best to live in a world full of rascist hatred.

Does everyone here know each other on a first name basis. I feel left out. I know it's because I'm Black (joking, of course)

do, however, feel uniquely qualified to speak on certain aspects of racial tensions in this country, having lived in predominantly black neighborhoods for most of my adult life, and also having been privy to inner workings of that most feared of Supremacist groups, the KKK.

And I do respect you for choices you have made in your life regarding that.

whip has earned that respect, she swam in a cesspool and decided it stinks, so she climbed out and never looked back.

Thanks Elie...of course writing such articles as these does a lot to open and re-open the eyes of everyone. How else can we get beyond this point if we all don't communicate? So putting it out there is always for the best. [and let me add Whip always says this very thing!]

This is quite an anology and quite fitting!

Agreed. Thanks for sharing you opinoins without slurs and excessive swearing. Thanks also for listening to the points that I try to make. I think I am beginning to understand where Whip comes from.

I recall an article I read years ago, back in the late 80s or early 90s (when the PC mindset was really getting up steam), about a sportscaster who dared to notice, and then even COMMENT, on the fact that the NBA was dominated by blacks. He also added, shamefully, that black in general were, in fact, outstanding atheletes. He got raked over the coals by the NAACP and had to issue a formal apology. or making a POSITIVE comment. So no, you can't say nything at all about a minority, but HOOOOBoy, can they talk about us!

Another incident leaps to mind; remember Jimmy "The Greek" and his infamous explaination as to the superior athletic ability of blacks? He theorized that it came, quite literally, from breeding; slave owners he said, often bred their slaves like they did their animals, for strength and endurance, and of course it comes down through the generations.
+LOL+ That went over like a lead balloon, and of course he was made to apologize.

Why add the word blacks to Blacks riot in Toledo?
---DJBandit

The reason we have to add it is simple: truth. How many whites were out there in streets, tearing down storefronts and bashing in glass doors? I saw a lot of Toledo footage on the news, and I saw not one white face in any of it. Not one.

Think me a jerk with racist issues, if you like, but when you have such a small percentage of the population committng such a large overall percentage of the violent crime (much of it against the majority, at that) in this country, it isn't supposed to say anything? We're just supposed to ignore the incriminating stats and not infer anything from that?
But yet, we're expected to accept without question any negative stats that aid blacks; that show how blacks need more government programs and public money in order to survive and to attain a level of equality (a state actually, and ironically, denied to them by the very programs that are supposed to help them attain it). That's not right; or reasonable.

I think till we put this issue behind us there will always be this wedge between the races for hate mongers to exploit, both white and black and others.

exactly, the truth is just that, the truth, but in this over sensitive society it's fair game to be called racist.

Yep, they sure did. And when Rush Limbaugh made the comment a couple years back that the NFL was playing up that black QB (what was his name? Can't think of it right now) simply because he was black. As a QB he was mediocre, which Rush pointed out. The only thing he could come up with as to wy he was so celebrated was that they were making such a big deal about him because of his race. Rush was made to quit over that, despite the fact that making such comments was exactly what he was hired to do.
