Would you KILL one person to end terrorism?

Any person will do.

I am asking this for some insight into different personalities here on joeuser.

I would pick that Idaho molester to kill, no remorse, no guilt.

Now for the bloody part, if you choose to kill someone, it must be done by cutting their throat.

Lets see.

While that animal in Idaho, and the one in Florida, do not deserve to live, I dont see how killing them for the sins of others would either make a difference, or be justified. They will surely get the death penalty for their own crimes, but why should they get it for the crimes of other animals?

It depends who it was.

If Osama Bin Laden could convince me that all terrorism, worldwide, would end immediately the moment I kill the President, I'd say no thanks, punch his head until his towel fell off, and take my chances.

I guess I'd happily kill one terrorist, if it would end terrorism. I'm not so comfortable with the idea of singling out unconnected monsters on the basis of "he had it coming, and it would also end terrorism", even in a hypothetical.

So yeah: I'd hoist the black flag and slit the throats of terrorists from here to next week, if it would end terrorism. And I'd even offer myself up as a sacrifice, if my own death would end terrorism. But I'd never even consider killing anybody the terrorists themselves might want dead, even if it would end terrorism. Because that's the whole point of terrorism, right? To terrorize you into defeating yourself.

Related, but even more macabre question: would you car bomb a sidewalk full of children, if it would end terrorism?
