My wife and I have nothing but kudos for New Yorkers, we found them to be warm, inviting, kind and gracious.
The hotel we stayed at was in our estimation over priced, but so is everything else in New York City. You MUST go there as if you are rich and money is no object in order to really enjoy the New York City experience.
We Highly recommend eating at the Carnegie deli, but bring your American express card as two Pastrami I sandwiches cost 32 dollars. Evening dinner is a must at Rosie O’gradies and maisons both on 7th ave in the 50’s.
Phantom of the Opera is an incredible experience and a must see for theatergoers, Chicago the play was terrific but not as good as the movie, both plays received many ovations and Phantom received a standing ovation at the end.
The trip home for me was a nightmare as I picked up a sinus infection, that the pressurized cabin of the jet exacerbated into a very high fever and exploding eardrums, I barely remembered the trip home, as I was out of my mind the entire flight.
I took to bed at 5:30 pm on Wednesday and finally came to my senses today. {No wise cracks about my senses either}
All and all I had a wonderful time and plan to go back ASAP {God willing and health permitting} For now I am exhausted but content, My lovely wife is walking on air and humming New York New York, under her breath and cannot stop talking about the trip {this makes me happy}
Nice to be home.
