Criminals don't normally use legally purchased guns, and don't care they aren't legal.

Thats right they steal them from gun owners. If you get rid of legal guns you severly diminish the availability of guns for crims.

You would obviously support Iran having nuclear technology. If everybody else has them then so should Iran. Thats your line of thinking.

like I said watch the gun carefully for 2 weeks do not eat nor wash.. nor drink water while watching for the "evil" gun to jump off table and go find something to kill.. the reason you will not have to worry is the "evil" gun will see you are weak from hunger, dieing of thirst and stink like something already dead and will not bother you.

No, that's a very misleading statement. The vast majority of illegally obtained firearms on the streets today are not stolen from the homes of private citizens. They are smuggled into the country, stolen from warehouses, military bases, national guard armories, and other illicit sources. You're a fool if you believe outlawing guns for private citizens will in any way reduce the supply of firearms on the criminal black market.

as for guns again.. the is ahuge black market for guns in the u.s. when I was 15 living in east harlem where i grew up I bought my first gun that was in 1961 btw... a nice little .308 auto loader. in this times to by a gun is very easy much easier that it used to be. by your rule of thumb the only guns left would be in criminals hands.

gotta give you an insightfull for that..

well...after watching an assortment of firearms, blades, arrows, etc., i progressed to explosives. for the past 11 hours and 37 minutes, i've been watching some sorta timed detonation kinda thing i found in the closet. it began keeping time when i lifted it outta the box (it now reads 11:39).

this is realllly boring so i'm only gonna give this about another half hour; if nothin happens by then, i'll have to concede your point.

Since the anti gun side can't seem to forumulate a decent argument, let's take your test and move it a step further....

Take any object that could be used as a weapon (one that is small enough to hide), conceal it under a jacket so no one can tell its there, and is secured enough to stay concealed unless you choose to take it out.

Walk around your city, go to the mall, your favorite park or bar. Spend the whole day with it, and do the things you would normally do, that wouldn't require some kind of security search.

Now, at the end of the day, ask yourself how many people were injured by your actions. Now, try to think of the last time you heard of a concealed weapon, of any kind, harming another living creature.

Democracy, in a word. The only use for drugs, outside their medically prescribed uses, is intoxication. Intoxication is the abuse of alcohol, like murder is the abuse of guns. Each, though, has a socially recognized non-abusive use. The drugs you mention have no other purpose than intoxication unless they are prescribed for some ailment.

So society has deemed the kind if 'use' you are talking about is abuse, whether you overdose, drive under the influence, or not. We simply don't want that act as a society. If you don't agree, go take it up with your legislator. By all means if the majority of Americans decide they don't want guns as they seem to have in Australia, then let them vote their concience. The problem I have is when a minority imposes their will on the majority, whether it be concerning gun control, drug legalization, whatever.

you forgot one thing MM, for guns, they have to be loaded.....

You must be a one trick pony as well, as this is the second time I have seen you use that argument.  It was stupid before it is stupid now.

For the same reason you would not give a gun to a convicted felon, Iran should not have nukes.

The problem I have is when a minority imposes their will on the majority, whether it be concerning gun control, drug legalization, whatever.
