I haven't read any of the other comments yet, though look forward to hearing (reading) others favorites. My favorite is one that most people laugh at when I used to tell them, so for years kept it secret. But, here it is: "Mac Aurthers Park." Though I love sooooooo many songs and so many are favorites right up there with it, "midnight Rider" being just one. The first time I heard McAuthors Park, I was struck by all the love and loss that goes on in the world.
The good and the bad, the happy and the sobbing, all in one. How we each survive all of this through out our lives. And how, from time to time in our lives, major loss and turning points are experienced, grieved, held close in private places inside, and slowly allowed to fade.
There you have it.
