America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
The battle of Mundania
Published on March 3, 2005 By Moderateman In Misc
Mightily these two warriors fought, long into the day, which turned to night.

Many wounds inflicted, blood flowed freely, each striving to defeat the other.

Each man fighting for their own purpose and cause.

Tired they grew, these heroic men of courage and valor.

In the course of battle they saw the eyes of each other looking back at them.

They saw many things, each respected the courage of the other, neither would give any quarter.

Soon they realized that the other was a man to respect, slowly wisdom ended this battle.

Each warrior calling an end to this, slowly they became friends.

The story continues………………..

hahahahaha

I'm happy to be the first person to comment on this article.

You and I are a couple of angry jackasses when we want to be. And a lot of times we probably DON'T want to be. And unlikely a friendship as it might be -- a Vietnam vet and a Gen X slacker -- I'd like to step up and say thanks for posting this, and tell you that I have developed a great deal of respect for you, grudging at first but not anymore. I think you and Doc Miller have butted heads with me over the issues more than anyone, yet I think you both are good people and, yes, good friends.

SO thanks again, Wormwood, with all cheerfulness and affection,

I'd expect no less.

MoveOn.org is pretty much souring me on the American left. I get e-mails from them regularly, and I've realized they don't want to move on at all, they want to recapture some sort of mythic leftist paradise -- what they feel the 90s were. I don't agree with that -- we can't enshrine the 90s any more than people once tried to enshrine the 50s. The Democrats of 2005 are really running contrary to the ideas that people like Bill Clinton had in trying to create a "New Democrat." I'm really drawn to your own frustrations with the left as well as Gideon's articles about third parties.

I don't know, I'm really looking for a new direction in my blogging, and I said it on one of my recent threads, but I'll reiterate -- I'm pretty tired of being a partisan hack. I'm disillusioned. Then I read writers like Noam Chomsky or P.J. O'Rourke and I find out that they're disillusioned, too.

I'm rambling, I'm kind of drunk, but thanks again for posting this. You're a great American and a good friend. I'm proud to know you.
