America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Propaganda just isn’t for Nazi’s anymore

While I am sure liberals {far far left} will not like this comparison, it’s true.

Bill Moyer that Grammy getting “news man” and “commentator” extraordinaire is nothing but a shill for the far left wing of the Democratic Party.

He spews lies that are picked up by far left newspapers and then presented as truth.

It is truly criminal that he is allowed to receive public funding to spread his propaganda.

How is it that being so one sided, can even be interrupted as fair and balanced?

He is heralding Howard dean as the savior of the Democratic Party.

Yayyyyyyyy This makes me happy.

If Howard dean and Bill Moyer are indicative of what the democrats want to represent them, all I have to say is. Go democrats go.

Now with Nancy Pelosi being hailed as a moderate democrat by the guardian paper of Sanfrancisco and hanoijohn Kerry the best the Democrats have to offer, with Hillary coming up on the inside and Ted Kennedy as their statesman. Things just keep getting better and better for us republicans.
Now I have stated things rationally with no venom so if any democrats read this TRY to behave the same way.. OR PAPA SPANK!! On what planet? Oxycontinia? Uranus?

On earth, unless you look like Uranus.

Uh huh. He dared to run against GWB. That's reason enough for your kind.

many people have a very valid reason for thinking he is slime in a spit bucket. How about 2.5 million service men who were called war criminals by him with no supportive evidence (other than his own admitted crimes). Moderate man is one of them. My Father and Uncle were 2 others. None of them were or are, Just hanoiJohn.

Sure Mr StallingTactic. Knock yourself out:

<< The roots of torture, Newsweek, 24 May 2004:

One Justice Department memo, written for the CIA late in the fall of 2001, put an extremely narrow interpretation on the international anti-torture convention, allowing the agency to use a whole range of techniques—including sleep deprivation, the use of phobias and the deployment of "stress factors"—in interrogating Qaeda suspects. The only clear prohibition was "causing severe physical or mental pain"—a subjective judgment that allowed for "a whole range of things in between," said one former administration official familiar with the opinion. On Dec. 28, 2001, the Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel weighed in with another opinion, arguing that U.S. courts had no jurisdiction to review the treatment of foreign prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. The appeal of Gitmo from the start was that, in the view of administration lawyers, the base existed in a legal twilight zone—or "the legal equivalent of outer space," as one former administration lawyer described it. And on Jan. 9, 2002, John Yoo of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel coauthored a sweeping 42-page memo concluding that neither the Geneva Conventions nor any of the laws of war applied to the conflict in Afghanistan.

By Jan. 25, 2002, according to a memo obtained by NEWSWEEK, it was clear that Bush had already decided that the Geneva Conventions did not apply at all, either to the Taliban or Al Qaeda. In the memo, which was written to Bush by Gonzales, the White House legal counsel told the president that Powell had "requested that you reconsider that decision." Gonzales then laid out startlingly broad arguments that anticipated any objections to the conduct of U.S. soldiers or CIA interrogators in the future. "As you have said, the war against terrorism is a new kind of war," Gonzales wrote to Bush. "The nature of the new war places a high premium on other factors, such as the ability to quickly obtain information from captured terrorists and their sponsors in order to avoid further atrocities against American civilians." Gonzales concluded in stark terms: "In my judgment, this new paradigm renders obsolete Geneva's strict limitations on questioning of enemy prisoners and renders quaint some of its provisions."

And before you start throwing blame at your political opponents, remember: the military pros opposed the political choice to use torture:

< ABCNEWS.com, May 16, 2004

W A S H I N G T O N — Lawyers from the military's Judge Advocate General's Corps, or JAG, had been urging Pentagon officials to ensure protection for prisoners for two years before the abuses at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison came to light, current and former JAG officers told ABCNEWS.

BTW, why are you so afraid of the liberal label?  You are not a progresive.  A progressive is open to new ideas and new ways to do things.  You only spout the liberal, ultra at that, line.

Are you ashamed to be called a Liberal?

So Alberto justifies torture in a memo to GWB, Geneva is declared obsolete, & torture takes place in Afghanistan, Iraq, Gitmo & other places over the objections of JAGs.

Yet YOU claim that's 'not sactioned.'

None so blind as those who will not see.

Go do your own homework. Read Geneva. That's the law that was broken.

Deal with it.

Um, you called me 'left of Mao'. So I guess, as the first act of name calling, would be 'game over' by your definition.
