America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Or how I stopped whining and dropped the BOMB
Published on January 21, 2005 By Moderateman In Philosophy
Since I have been blogging on JoeUser, I have been called many names, mostly having to do with my political views.

Since the left leaning liberal losers loopy ludites cannot seem to grasp what A Republican Moderate is, I am going to spell it out using as many one syllable words as I can so they do not get confused or lapse into Democratic Dementia.

I believe in gun control.
I believe in a woman’s right to choose. {although I detest abortion}
I believe in conservation.
I voted for stem cell research here in the last election in California.
I deplore war.
I do not believe in the death penalty, because there is a 6% wrong conviction factor.
I vote for the person not the party.

Now for the other side.

I believe in coercive interrogation
I believe in fair trade.
When at war, we need to stop “taking the high road” because the enemy sure doesn’t.
I believe that only our President with approval of the Congress can make a decision if
We go to war or not. We do not need a “global test” or anyone’s permission.
I believe tax cuts benefit everyone.

So now when calling me names at least get it right about what policy or philosophy I support or do not support.

This is dedicated to the ones that flings accusations, then when I answere I get no reply back.
Altho I do understand Democratic Dementia, I would appreciate my nemisis trying to remember this.

If you are to stupid to remember this please feel free to print it out.

Liberals have an inherent, outlandish penchant for libel and asinine animadversions

Yeah, the religious right isn't shrill, extreme or loud. Except about gay marriage, abortion, birth control, premarital sex, unwed mothers, gay rights, gay sex, gays living together, or any other religion. Please.

Both sides have their extremes, but only one is stinking up the political process right now with lack of oversight and control. And that is the right.

See, I see your position as closer to that of a moderate Democrat. But, as both you and I have previously acknowledged, the Democrats are pretty much making it mighty uncomfortable for their "moderates", so you're probably more of a "moderate dem in exile".

I still wouldn't mind seeing the Democratic Party returned from the hands of the whacko left!

Gay marriage isn't banned anywhere within the US. STATE SPONSORED gay marriage is the only thing not allowed. They can still do any durn thing they want (and, contrary to the popular myth, they CAN have ALL the same legal rights ensured as married couples if they simply take the time to put together the documents).

Abortion and birth control? Similarly, not banned. And there's no serious movement, even among the religious right, to ban them (though, again, some of us WOULD like to end STATE SPONSORSHIP of some of these practices, on certain moral grounds).

Premarital sex isn't banned, either. Again, no serious movement to do so. Making statements about morality as guidelines for PRACTITIONERS of that faith is religious freedom, something you apparently have a problem with.

Unwed mothers also are not banned.

Gay rights? Gays are not denied any civil rights, sorry. To say they should be a protected class is like saying someone should be a protected class because they like it "doggie style". It's absurd, and it shows the utter inanity of your argument.

Gay sex and gays living together? Sorry, again, no bans. Yes, churches do speak out about these practices, but again, it's called "freedom of religion". YOU are, in fact, the bigot by demanding the conservative church cease preaching the tenets of their faith.

NO religion has been banned in America, sorry. Again, no laws have been opposed to that effect. Now if you're talking about the exclusivity of the Christian faith that is taught in some churches, again, you're trying to tread on freedom of religion. If the Christian faith IS the one true faith, then you whining about those who preach that in public forums won't make a whit of difference at the day of judgment, now, will it?

Not ONE WORD of your response had a grain of truth to it. Perhaps you should examine the facts rather than listen to the rantings of militant anti-Christian pundits to guide your thinking.

I'm a rather Apathetic Moderate Democrat....I have similar views to yours...I'm just too lazy to talk about them that often.

I must agree that the far right is just as demented and twisted as the far left.

Those are the voters ditching Leiberman, and probably because of his stand on Iraq. Expect to see that issue continue to hurt many incumbents on both sides of the aisle.

when there is no room in a party for someone that has a different view {right or wrong} that is damn scarey.
To watch how many other members of the democratic party bail on joe was disgusting to watch.

I know...I'm just BEYOND tired of being labelled a "bigot", when all I want is to be able to live and raise my family consistent with my standards and allow others to do the same with theirs.
