America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~

Ok ok ok This idea is in reponse to another post..

Chivalery is not dead..... I come form an older generation and please do not say its dead, tired yes...

Give me an excuse to polish up my armour, sharpen my rusty nicked broadsword, beg my old charger to run one more time and I will do this.

Men I think are programed for this {at least old farts like me}

My wife who is brillant, askes me why when I hear her complain I just cannot listen to it, why must I seek an immediate solution for her..
I tell her its male programming, we hear female problem we wanna fix it.. drives her nuts btw.

We bought this home in an active adult community for one BIG reason... there are armed gaurds on the gate 24/7/365, She could go for a walk at 3 am in the morning and I wouldnt bat an eye.. its safe. safe safe here..

Men just have to "protect" our ladies we cannot help it.
Its a big part of what makes us men

The woman abusers are not MEN..... just little scared boys in big bodies.

I am not a male pigman in any way shape or form... I do not want my ladies power.. I do not want her to ask my permission for anything.. period.

She is her own person, a responsible adult with her head firmly planted on her shoulders.

But when I see what I consider a "dangerous" situation I cannot help but putting my large 6ft 2 in 225 pound body between her and a percieved danger.

I love and treasure this woman and will do more than die for her. I will live for her, honor her, respect her and yes PROTECT her too.

On a side note she will protect me right back if she deems I am In danger.. does that make her a womanpig>? i think not.

We know you woman can handle your own lives, we know your own judgement is sound... we cannot help but being who we are either ok>?

Sorry to interrupt "guy time," but I just wanted to thank all the men out there that still practice the fine art of chivalry. Unlike most women my age, I appreciate the gestures and do not view them as condescending.

This is so true. The hunting/gathering instinct also includes protection. Personally, I know I could take care of myself, Zombie knows I could take care of myself, but I would much rather leave the protecting to him and he would much rather do the protecting. Men like to solve problems, not talk about them; not analyze them and dig to find the source. If I am sick, Zombie doesn't want to listen, he wants to take me to the doctor. It's one of the many things I have learned to love and appreciate about his manliness.

Does that mean I am becoming a liberal? Gaaaaackkkk!

Don't you dare, Dr. Guy! My world would be shattered. Mano, you better not be a bad influence on Dr. Guy, or I will have to pull out the whoop ass.

how come none of them (or very few of them) hold doors for us or put their jackets across puddles anymore?

I hold doors for ANYONE coming in behind me; HOWEVER, I will also say, there's a rather militant movement among women to treat us as if it was the most rude, condescending thing to do so.

As for the puddle thing, sorry, not wasting a good coat on a mud puddle.

I've been verbally torn to shreds for daring to hold doors open for women before. Hey, sorry bitch but I hold them open for EVERYONE. These women are the same ones in many cases who cry over the fact that men don't treat them well anymore. How the heck are we supposed to treat you? Can't be nice to you because that's condescending... can't be mean to you cause that's abuse... and if we're just "blah" to you, you'll think we're disinterested. It's a freakin no-win situation.

I've learned to steer way clear of those sorts of women.

I hold the door open for anyone . . . if I'm the first one through the door and someone else is coming, I hold the door open for them . . . mom juggling 3 kids, elderly man, teenage girls, 30 something cowboy . . . for anyone.

Having said that, I appreciate . . . no . . . expect . . . the same courtesy from others, and especially men. If a man is standing by the door and I have to open it myself, I think, "Wow. No manners." However, if a man is standing by the door and I have to struggle through it with my two kids in tow and he sees me struggling and doesn't help, I make sure I say "asshole" under my breath just loud enough that I know he hears it. he he he

I want to have doors opened for me. And I can't tell you how many times Adrian has picked me up and carried me over puddles. I like that. I want to be treated like a woman.
