America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Hell on Earth

Due to the many injuries I have suffered in my life, broken bones, gunshot wounds, {one of them 1 and 1/2 inch from my spine} one shattered my right elbow, one shattered my right shin bone and one broke my right thigh bone; as I have aged I have been in considerable pain and my Dr. decided to put me on morphine therapy six years ago.

Due to my drug use years ago I had built up quite a tolerance to opium of all kinds {that would include morphine} so the dose he built me up to is very high, I was taking three 30 milligrams of extended release every eight hours and four 30 milligrams of immediate release every six hours for a total of 210 milligrams of morphine daily, this dose would kill a clean person that has never had exposure to opium or any of its derivatives.

In May this year I decided I was tired of it all and wanted to cut back, if not quit entirely, so I informed my Dr. of my intentions and soon I was off to Hell land. As of today I am down to two extended release {60 milligrams} and two immediate release {60 milligrams} for a total of 120 down 90 milligrams in a little less than two months. This might seems slow to some of you folk with no experience with physical addictions of this size, but let me tell you, my poor old beat up 62 year old body feels like death warmed over, on a good day!

So my Joeuser friends some prayers for my continued success would be nice, good thoughts count, animal sacrifices, whatever.

It's a battle but I think a battle worth fighting.   Mental hugs and prayers are being sent your way.  I draw the line at animal sacrifices.  Well unless they are pests - I have no problem with whacking the bugs.

All kidding aside moderateman, I know what its like to suffer the type of injury youve suffered. I was shot in 92 and struck 4 times... the most damaging of these was a through and through wound that entered my left buttock and exited from the area where the thigh meets the groin. That bullet perforated my colon and caused my to wear a colostomy bag for a year. I was also struck in the hand, right thigh, and  the back of the head. The one in the back of the head did fracture my skull, but it was only a graze due to the angle of my head. Getting shot really sucks because of the stigma attached to it. When X-ray techs see bullets or fragments they start asking questions like, 'oh, so youre a cop?' What their actually doing is trying to narrow you down to you not being a violent criminal. Most people believe that only bad people get shot. oh well, hope you feel better.

I have a nephew who went through a similiar ordeal as you describe. It was very difficult, very hard going, and took over a year, but he was triumphant.

I wish the same success for you and will keep you in prayer.
