America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Are We?
Published on March 6, 2008 By Moderateman In US Domestic

One of the questions the so called fair and balanced pollsters love to ask is " are we as a nation going in the right direction?" I think this is a loaded question, because it is so broad. The pollster should clarify whether the question has to do with, socially, economics, or world conditions? I have chosen to write about world conditions.

Who's winning? Al Queda or The "good guys" who believe they should decide their own fate?

I believe there is a new definition of the word "RADICAL" it use to be a positive word while reactionary use to be a bad word. This has changed in my opinion and today radical is a negative word. It was just last year that the radical group ran a full page ad in the New York Times calling General Petraeus "General Betray us" and some in congress were calling this military hero a liar point blank because he would not agree with their assessment of the war in Iraq.

It was not long ago that only a very small fringe group of Liberal loon conspiracy theorists believed that the 9/11 attack were a plot by the Bush administration. But according to a Rasmussen poll taken just a few short months ago, more than one third of the Democrats that were polled now believe that President Bush knew in advance that 9/11 was going to happen and did nothing to stop it so he could go to war, and now many Americans believe that the war against Muslim terrorists in Bush's war not Americas war! There are those that rejoice at every setback in Iraq and root for America to lose. One of the Presidential candidates for the democratic party that has since withdrawn, called the war in Iraq "A bumper sticker war".

It is absolutely necessary to continue to fight against the Muslim Terrorists and their allies in the radical left and congress. We need to support the war on this bastardization of Islam and not allow it to be watered down by those that would rather make President Bush look bad than protect America!

Ward Churchill told a group of students at the New school in New York that their college president, a decorated Vietnam veteran and the former Senator Bob Kerrey," are both mass murderers and serial killers who should be imprisoned next to Charles Manson" {the students gave Churchill a standing ovation}!

If the left wins this war of ideals, we may lose the war against radical Islam. Terrorists around the world will be given free reign. Some leftists have demanded that the government outright release the terrorists that were captured and are now held at gitmo {so they can continue their Jihad against us} and America should end the intelligence and surveillance that have helped keep us safe since 9/11.

Billionaire George Soros has assembled an alliance of wealthy LIBERALS, along with big labor unions, that raised 50 million dollars in just nine months. The Washington Post reported recently that at least 80 wealthy LIBERALS have "donated" one million dollars each to fund a network of "think tanks" and advocacy groups to "compete with the conservative think tanks that have been built up the last three decades, and of course, there is the large group of "celebrities" of the left and so called "EXPERTS" the likes of Bill Moyers and
Micheal Moore, who spread their own particular brand of anti-American poison to audiences of hundreds of millions.

I hope and pray that Americans wake up and come to the point of NOT BEING ASHMAED of calling right, right and wrong, wrong and stop worrying about what is politically correct while our great nation is being flushed down the toilet by the left. Where we honor Americas great history and her unique contribution to bring freedom to the world. We need to understand that sometimes we need to fight the enemies that are out to destroy America, even if those enemies are fellow Americans.!!!!

Wasn't George Soros supposed to do a year in a monastery if Bush won the last election? Now might be a good time for him to check in and shave his head.

Yeh And many lefties swore that they would leave America if Bush won, but as usual the left lies its ass off when it comes to keeping their word about anything that might make them uncomfortable themselves.

Moderateman, I am first of all glad that you are still with us. But Right is rarely 100% right and Wrong is only 100% wrong if you disagree.

Lets talk about the Middle East as an example. You and I are both Yids (and old Yids at that.) Can you tell me that President Musharraf was any more than an ally of convenience? He hasn't done anything to eliminate the Taliban in Pakistan or to catch bin Laden. So was backing him 100% right?

I oppose waterboarding on general terms. But one of the three men so tortured was the murderer of Daniel Pearl, the man that cut his head off. I ask Liberals that very question.

It's just not that simple.

It's just not that simple.

ON an absolute scale, you are right.  But then the world does not live by absolutes.  And MM was not trying to say that absolute - right and wrong.  However he was pointing out that the whole concept has been turned on its head as there is no longer right and wrong.  Just different degrees of right.  And that is wrong.

I hope and pray like Elie does.  And while I am not as old (by only a few years), I have lost hope that any sanity will return or that we can once again state without fear of condemnation - that murder is wrong.  Perhaps my children will be able to correct this abomination of morality that has swept this nation in the quest for political correctness.  That is what I hope for.

And pray for as well.

Hell no Larry,  backing him was only a matter of the  lessor of many evils over there.

Lots of folk think I am some kind of torture monster because I will not simply say "water boarding is bad bad bad and should never be used. well fuck that! Larry in extreme occasions it should be used and  according to the government it was used a total of three times. wow a whole three times! but the left makes it sound like we pull little mary sunshine off the streets and water board her for fun.

Who's winning? Al Queda or The "good guys" who believe they should decide their own fate?

The real question is: are the actions taken by our government making things better or worse. There's a lot of evidence that things are worse. But if you're truly afraid, this is not the country for you. This country was not built by cowards; it was built by brave, honorable men.

It used to be "we have nothing to fear but fear itself." Now it's "be afraid, be very afraid."

We need to get back to what this country used to stand for.
