Pope Meets Priest Accused of Anti-Jewish Remark

From the Associated press, Another "CHRISTIAN'' SHOWING some true colors.

This is why I have little or almost no respect for Christians in general.

ROME — Pope Benedict XVI met this week with a Polish priest who has been accused of making anti-Jewish comments. Photos showing the pope at his summer residence with, Father Tadeusz Rydzyk along with two other Polish priests, were published in Polish newspapers yesterday.

The Vatican has not commented on the meeting. But a Vatican official confirmed yesterday that the three were brought to the pope, along with other pilgrims, after the pontiff's weekly public blessing Sunday in Castel Gandolfo, his summer home. Father Rydzyk was allegedly caught on tape saying Jews are greedy and that President Kaczynski of Poland is subservient to Jewish lobbyists.

Nothing like a Catholic priest perpetuating the fallacy that all JEWS are Greedy. Yay Christians! Once again caught with their pants down, oops no that is another story. Shows you that in their hearts they still blame the JEWS for killing another JEW called Jesus, so much for forgiveness huh?

my 1st grade teacher had to go to the 2nd grade class to get permission for me to borrow the books on their bookshelf,in 2nd grade was writing cursive self taught and the teacher said was correct but could not use it til 4th grade got into alot of trouble over that.

I been reading since I was 4 and made my kindergarten teacher so mad she begged my parents to hold me back with alot of lies, all because I would sneak her precious books to read for themself...

In 6th grade they had to give me a I.Q. test so they would know my grade level when I was put into badboy school,my I.Q. allowed me access to collage level material, for I tested sophmore in collage at the age of 13....But in my day and age the teachers did not care about a poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks,so I spent my time studying under other teachers, libraries have tons of material on religon and history, what better place to learn....

This all started over my bad spelling, and thats sad when someone is judged on spelling and all the knowledge they could share is tossed aside over something trivial.

this site is all about how much better everyone is than anyone else on here.

the two ladies are better than me because they know the Jewish religion better than i do. no way i mean i have never really studied so i can't see at all how they would know better than me.

gid. thinks he is better because he can write and spell better than anyone.

gene thinks he is better because he isn't as rich as others are.

me i know i am not better than anyone even tho sometimes i seem to say so.

by the way every bodies name has some kind of meaning to it other than the name.

my name Daniel osterloh means royal easter/pass over fire. you see my last name is two Jewish names from Germany. so if your Jewish it means pass over fire. and if your Christian it means easter fire.

and yes i know that the word Christ is a title.

so if you two ladies want to call me stupid because i don't know that much about your religion be my guest.

Danielost, I suggest you stop kicking the dead horse (the issue not LW) or you become the official JU nudnick.

Lula posts: The Old Testament is contained in the New and the New Testament is found in the Old.

So then do you keep Torah?

I’ll let St.Paul--- who although was called by God to become an Apostle of Christ, always kept a deep attachment to the idea of the Old Covenant and Judaism--- answer this for me.

It’s found in Romans which concerns the basis of the unity of Jews and Gentiles in the early Church. In Ch. 1, St.Paul begins his teaching by explaining that the Lord God’s revelation of salvation history is a single process. The contrast isn’t so much between the Old Covenant and the New, but between the Lord God’s previous proclamation through the prophets and the Christ-event--both are Almighty God’s powerful act to release mankind from the imprisonment of sin.

"To the Jews first" means the Jews take precedence in the history of salvation, but now, with the Christ-event, all Jews and Gentiles (Christians), are called in the same way by the Gospel. In Jesus Christ all previous claims to salvation are now revealed as provisional and also made non-salvific. From now on, salvation comes to all only as a gift and through faith which works through charity. Gal. 5:6.

Only God can give faith in Jesus Christ such decisive importance for salvation, and therefore St.Paul refers back to the Lord God’s promise as found in Habacuc 2:4, “Behold, he that is unbelieving, his soul shall not be right in himself: but the just shall live in his faith.” This is an argument from the history of the promise, designed to make clear that the ultimate basis of the Christ-event is the Lord God. In the preaching of the Gospel and the faith of the believers in the present, Almighty God is vindicated.

In Ch. 2, St. Paul is accusing the self-righteous Jews who pride themselves on their closer knowledge of God (than the Gentiles) and their excusing themselves of their own sins. He wants to reveal the Jews' his true situation and that he will not escape the judgment of God. He begins to argue that the Jew’s trust in the Lord God’s goodness, forbearance, and patience is presumption, because he does not allow the Lord God’s goodness to lead him to repentance. This is the real sin of the Jews which St.Paul sees exemplified many times in history of the infidelity of the Lord God’s people to the Covenant.

Almighty God’s judgment has one standard for all. Psalm 62:12 tells that He will render men according to his works which means all men are subject to the one judgment of God. St. Paul thesis is that all men are sinners and all men need God’s salvation. In v. 1-3, it says the Jew is no better off than the Gentile. There is a tension here between the priority of the Jews in salvation history and the universality of sin and this cannot be reduced.

V. 12-13, assert the universality of judgment this time with reference to Jews’ obstinate reliance on their Old Covenant Law. Is the Law protection against judgment or not? Here in these verses, St.Paul teaches, no. It says, the Gentiles who were without the Law and sinned as a result, perish without the Law, but the Jews too, who have the Law, and therefore understand the Lord God’s plans, will be judged , or condemned by the Law. He explains because it is not the hearers of the Law who are righteous before the Lord God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.

The next verses explain further the distinction between Jews with possession of the Law and the Gentiles which is very significant. When the Gentiles, who do not have the Law do by nature, what the Law requires, this shows that they although they do not have the Law, are a law unto themselves. V. 15 explains they show that what the Law requires is written on their hearts. Notice this is the same familiar language with that of Jeremias 31: 31-34. The Gentiles do by nature what the Law requires. Why? because the Law (what was written on stone tablets) is the same Law written on their hearts.

In 3: 20, the Jew’s question about the value of the Law, now at last, has an answer---“through the Law comes knowledge of sin.”

Yet, the Jews continue to boast of their advantage...and St.Paul asks,

Rom. 3: 27-31, “ Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? on the principle of works? No, but on the principle of faith. For we hold that a man is justified by faith apart from works of Law. Or is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since God is One; and He will justify the circumcised on the ground of their faith and the uncircumcised through their faith. Do we then overthrow the Law by this faith? By no means! ON THE CONTRARY, WE UPHOLD THE LAW."

(Please, the translation “by faith alone” is justified on linguistic grounds and should not be given polemical overtones it acquired during the Protestant Revolution---debate on this would be the topic of a new thread).

From this, we should learn the object is to overcome Jewish and maybe Jewish-Christian sectarianism in matters of salvation. Is not God also the God of the Gentiles? If God is One, which was an article of faith for the Israelites, then yet another proof of the Lord God’s unity is His single act of justification. The basis of the argument is Jewish monotheism and here we see St.Paul saying the Gentiles do not have to be converted to the God of the Jews, but the Jews have to be converted to the God of the Gentiles to the God who justifies the uncircumcised.

Although He is the Lord God of all nations, He showed special preference for the people of Israel. Relying on this, the Jews wrongly thought that only they could attain blessedness because only they enjoyed the Lord God’s favor. This led them to look down upon other people. After the coming of Christ, they no longer have any basis for this pride. St.John Chrysostom explains that it had simply become superseded for God had set up a single way of salvation for all men--the principle of faith which St.Paul refers to. This new way means that the Jews must forget their ancient pride and become humble, for Almighty God has opened the gates of salvation to all mankind.

Consequently, no one, not even the Jew, is justified by works of the (Mosaic) Law. What Justifies a person is faith which works through charity. Faith which is not presumptuous self-confidence in one’s own merits, but a firm and ready acceptance of Christ’s merits and to repent of one’s sins.

Therefore, it will be by faith--not by circumcision--that the Jews will be justified, and it will be “through their faith” that the uncircumcised will attain salvation. From this it might appear as though the Law had been revoked; but that is not the case: faith ratifies the Law, gives it its true meaning and raises it to perfection. For through being a preparation to the Gospel, the Mosaic Law receives from Christ the fullness it was lacking: the precept of charity reveals the meaning which God gave the Law but which lay hidden until Christ made it manifest, for “love is the fulfilling of the law” 13:10

LW POSTS #157

The following paragraphs were written by Simon, and the entire article can be seen here http://emperoroficecream.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=27039

"To begin with it's necessary to understand that the word 'Jesus' is not a personal name. It's a title, in the same way that the word 'Christ' is not a family name but a title meaning 'anointed one'. In order to understand the title 'Jesus' one must understand something of Hebrew, and the role of the Name of God in Hebrew Mysticism.

The fundamental and absolute Name of God, which is the Being of God and the Power of God, uttered within the universe at the moment of its creation and so accessible to (if not intelligible to) you and I, is formed from four letters. These letters are Yud, Heh (superior), Vahv, and Heh (inferior) The word so formed, Yud Heh Vahv Heh (or YHVH), is referred to as the Tetragrammaton (four letter word).

No believing Jew will in any way attempt to make use of this word but instead refers to the God of Israel as Adonai, or 'My Lord'.

In Hebrew as it originally developed there were no vowels, nor signs to indicate vowels. As Hebrew took on written form, signs for vowels were added as lines and points written above, within, and around each letter. In order to ensure that no one foolishly attempted to pronounce this ineffable Name, the vowel signs for the word 'Adonai' were placed around the four holy letters. Attempting to pronounce the Tetragrammoton produces either 'Yahveh', 'Yahweh', 'Yehovah', or 'Jehovah'. All these words result from ignorance of Hebrew and are, essentially, meaningless.

The fundamental meanings of the word YHVH derive from the meaning of its component letters - it is in essence an acronym (or, more correctly, a notarikon). The Yud represents archetypal masculinity while the Heh (superior) represents archetypal femininity. Vahv represents physical masculinity while the Heh (inferior) represents physical femininity. The four letters in combination signify that the Divine is the union of all opposites, physical and spiritual, as well as that point of unity from which all plurality, spiritual and physical, takes its source.

What proceeds from the Tetragrammaton is the Pentagrammaton (five letter word).

The Hebrew letter Shin, which is written to appear as three small flames bursting out of a fuel source, represents the Holy Spirit, the Ruach Elohim. It is known also as 'Chi', 'Ki', 'Prana', 'Kundalini', 'Mana', 'Manitou', and by many other names. The Pentagrammaton is produced by placing the letter Shin at the center of the Tetragrammaton, Yud Heh Shin Vahv Heh (YHSVH), creating a symbol which represents the union of divine masculinity and femininity with physical masculinity and femininity through the incorporation of the Holy Spirit.

Anyone who would be saviour to himself or others must be able to unite the Divine with the physical, overcome all opposites within himself, and at the same time maintain that tension in unity which is the source of all poetry and prophecy. It is this act of overcoming and submission which is designated by the term 'Jesus'. If you pronounce the Pentagrammaton in Hebrew it becomes 'Yeh-ha-shu-ah' which is usually translated as 'Joshua'. In the Greek of the New Testament it became 'Yay-su', which in English became 'Jesus'.

As I said at the beginning the name 'Jesus' is not a name. It is a title - the title of one who in himself experiences this process of overcoming and submission. Any one may become a Jesus and, in order to be saved, a man must become a Jesus, to himself and to others."

Thank you for sharing this work of EOIC, LW. I never knew of the Pentagrammaton or of the archtypical and physical feminity and masculinity references before this and so those are something I’d like to research further.
To this, I might add what we know from Exodus 3:14. The most exact and comprehensive name of God and therefore the “proper name” is “I AM WHO AM”. Translated from Hebrew words which are phonetically , ehyey asher ehyeh.

It is the term by which Christ designated Himself, when He told the Jews of His existence before Abraham was born, who had died 20 centuries previous to that occasion.

A footnote on the Douay Rhiems has “I AM WHO AM”, as I am being itself, eternal, self-existent, independent, infinite, without beginning, end or change, and the source of all other beings.”

you mean all of those rabbis that i have been listening to has it wrong. they say that the name of god is the Torah said as one word. and since no man can say it that way no man can say the name of god.

The name of God held most sacred among the Israelites during their priest and Temple days which LW has already mentioned is designated as JHVH, the tetragramon by Josephus, the famous first century historian. According to him, it was uttered but once a year and then by the High Priest on the Day of Atonement aka Yom Kipper day, when he offered a male lamb for sacrifice, as an atonement for the sins of Israel. Individuals were forbidden to utter the sacred JHVH.

Like the Social Security Judge found out,I have done so many different type jobs that I ran out of work

had i been sittin on the bench that day, i woulda insisted you go for a hat-trick (literally a triple crown!) by becoming a self-ordained imam as well as a self-ordained pastor and self-ordained rabbi before ruling you'd become totally unemployable due to "running outta work."

On awakening I go to this blog and read and continue to be amazed at how much unknowing bigotry shows through. Personally I have much more respect for someone that just comes out and says it "I hate Jews" than does the dances I have seen here.

I just make mention only when challanged that I have studied for 30 yrs and if i would have had degrees for all i studied i can paper my room with them,3 truck driving schools, telecommunications repair, roofing, hands on business degree been tested by dominoes,so just because someone did not go to collagte does not make them stupid,I know alot of collage grads that have no clue to how the real world functions from the lack of hands on experience.

FYI: the only "formal" education I possess beyond high school is a Network Administration certificate and 64 hours of classroom credit. I will finish my associate's in December.

Regardless of how you turn your nose up at grammar and spelling, they ARE important, especially in your alleged field. How can you understand Hebrew, Greek, and Latin grammar if you can't understand AMERICAN grammar? And placement of letters and symbols is absolutely CRUCIAL in those languages!

No, Jeremiah, your lack of degrees is not what makes you an idiot. It is your unteachability that makes you so. For one who claims to be widely read enough to have self assessed himself ready for dual Masters, you sure are an unteachable little prig.

And while I am on the subject, am I the only one who notices a STRONG resemblance between Jeremiah and our little friend danielost?

this blog was about accussing all christians of being anti jew because of one man in one church. yes that man was a priest, and that church was the catholic church. but as i have said many times the catholic church is not a christian church. they do not believe that christ is the way to heavon. they believe that mary is the way.

anyone who generilizes another group as being bigots are themselves bigots. the jews are the chosen people, not the gentiles. but the jews are only 2/12th of the chosen people. and some of the gentiles make up part of the other 10/12th of the chosen people.

on top of all of that the chosen people where chosen to bring blessings to the whole world not just the chosen people.

if you do not believe the above then i suggest that you read the torah again.
