America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
A Few Comparisons
Published on June 21, 2007 By Moderateman In Ethics

While I was leaving a comment in another article I was struck by a few similarities between welfare bums and politician bums. Let me know if you can think of any more.

Both welfare bums and politician bums live off the public taxpayer, they receive their check courtesy of you and I, yet we have no say so how either one can spend it.

Both welfare bums and politician bums have free health care, again who pays for it? you and I do.

In many cases Politicians have a life long job. Many time their children follow them into politics.

In many cases welfare people are on the dole for life, even unto the second and third generation.

On further reflection, the folks on welfare could probably do a better job on capitol hill than the present Congress is doing, for sure the welfare folks could not mess things up any worse than it already is.

There are frightening similarities indeed. Both eat from the public trough.

I wonder if we dig far enough if we could find some relitives of high powered politicians that have relitives on welfare.

Private welfare.  Like Paul Pelosi Jr. whose second job to InfoUSA (2nd, not first) is paying him $180k per year.  And whose business practices are under investigation for selling mailing lists to less than reputable folks.

Oh yeh the list of shoot what do you call it when you give someone related to you a job or a huge raise just because they are related? there is a word for it and I for the life of cannot remember it.

Congress is the most guilty of this handing out lobbying jobs to sons, daughters, husbands, wife's, etc. or putting them to work on their "staff"

Great comparisons! [even though I've got none to add right now!]
