America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
WE can see his glaring Mistakes
Published on June 1, 2007 By Moderateman In Republican

While I have lost faith with President Bush, I refuse to play the piling on game I see going on here recently.

I keep firmly in mind that if not for the total lack of support from the Democrats and the blood lust of the Main Stream Media in all its forms, frothing at the mouth to quickly shout to the world each and every mistake Bush has made, small, insignificant, large, terribly impact-full the world view of the President would not be quite as awful as it is.

Yes he is stubborn, some could call it a man of conviction. Yes he had made terrible mistakes in the Iraq war, refusing to put enough "boots on the ground at the start, but as always hindsight is 20/20.

This Immigration bill for me was the final nail in Bushes coffin, but it is personal for me, I remember stories from my mom and dad about how hard things were for them when they came to America, how difficult it was to learn English. But to see members of America demand that Bush round up 12 million Illegal Aliens and deport them is so unreasonable and would cripple the justice system and I do mean cripple it, is a bad joke. So is offering them Amnesty.

But I will not trash Bush, I will not call My president a moron nor will I allow my words to be picked up by the enemies of our country and used as more propaganda.

I was just looking at the title of this article, and it almost begs for a rebuttal titled:

I Pile Refuse on President Bush.

Yeah, man.

I think he's a douche bag.

He squandered all my pre and immediately post 9/11 warm and fuzzies I had toward him.

I hold him accountable for the death of EVERY SINGLE SOLDIER who has died in Iraq. He makes me sick.

NOTHING WRONG with saying how you feel brandie, it is an American right to dissent to do so. it is when disrespecting the office he holds comes into play I get annoyed.

yes I will support the President of the United States, even if it is a iberal loon that gets elected.

With this kind of thinking no wonder we got in so much trouble in the first place. Responsible citizenship and checks and balances call for honest critique of politicians' actions not blind support.

I never said I would not criticize the President or hold he or she accountable, I said I would support them. Big difference!

now that everything turned out, as expected, to be a fiasco they are trying to runaway from him and pretend that he is not a "Rebuplican". yes he is and true one for that.

He's a Republican, but he's not a conservative. Conservatives cut SPENDING along with taxes.

The GOP has abandoned its principles entirely. States rights? NOPE...exhibit A: NCLB. Cutting spending? Nope. Do I even NEED to provide proof here?

Honestly, GWB is in no way a representative of what Republicans hold dear. Now, by basically erasing our border with Mexico he's just jeopardized our national security worse than any terror group ever could. I was raised to respect the office, but I cannot continue to respect any man who has made such powerful strides to destroying the Constitution of the country I love.

Amen brother! Preach it!

i am not being sarcastic here, honest. But please remind me of the the last "conservative" or "Republican" president who actually cut spending ..... or reduce the deficit. Remember, cut the total of all spending not just certain programs ( usually the ones who do not affect the rich). I will even go further, who was the last president that actually "Eliminated" the deficit not only that but also created a surplus ?

your answer will be much appreciated.

I never thought that you guys will ever wake up. and all it took is the Immigration bill? that is what woke you guys up?

Not starting a war based on falsified intelligence to mislead the country? not the liquidation of the federal government by filling its agencies with his incompetent cronies? not the fleecing of the US treasury in 4 months after he took office (and siphoning the money to the energy cartel headed by ENRON .... remember the price spike in energy costs the summer of 2001)? not ignoring the congress of his OWN party (or was that the choice of that congress)? not Katrina? ..... etc and the immigration bill got you all up in arms against him?

Very strange thinking ..... very. i will never be able to understand that. i will leave it to you guys to describe that kind of thinking

how would you support him without supporting his policies? any president, personally, doesnt need (and does not seek) support from anyone. supporting him means supporting his policies.

are you saying you would criticize his policies and support him (i.e. his policies) at the same time?

ThinkAloud,

If, at this point, you actually think I am a Republican, I give up. Honestly, I do.

We haven't HAD a conservative president, thinkaloud! That's my POINT!

Then I take it the moniker "Moderateman" is meant to be tongue-in-cheek, yes?

Again I will explain there is a difference between disagreeing with the president and calling him names, such as Liar, criminal, moron, names the left loves to throw around.

No when I came here on Joeuser my politic were quite moderate, middle of the road if you must, but since hearing the left do everything in their power to destroy the Presidency, make America look bad in the eyes of the world, educated myself on the horrors of abortion, my politics have shifted much further to the right.

Trick Question.  Presidents do not hold the purse strings, congress does.  And with all the chicken littles in congress believing it when the MSM lies about a spending cut - that is in actual fact just a reduction in growth - congress probably never will.

I am so totally proud of you when it comes to this particular change of heart, Elie, and while I may be flattering myself, I do hope I've played some small part in initiating that change.

For all the talking, debating, arguing, fighting, fussing, blathering and bloviating that goes on in JU, I've seen very few minds changed about issues that matter. So few, in fact, that at times I've wanted to give up and walk away from these forums forever.

You just proved to me that it's all worth it in the end.

Now if I could only get ya to reconsider your stance on the death penalty...

(hehe, yeah yeah, typical woman i am, never satisfied!)

~smooche.

ps-i was on my third (large) mudslide when ya called, babe, so i let it ring. will call ya back tomorrow, i promise.

Due to a shortage of cell minute, either one of two things must happen, we must have a very short call, which we two blabbermouths find impossible or wait till next weekend. I am content to do either my friend.
