America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Tonight's Showdown
Published on May 15, 2007 By Moderateman In Republican

Tonight Fox News will be hosting the GOP ten candidates in what will be another boring "look at me" presentation.

If you could ask a single question {that means one question} that the candidate of your choice MUST answer, what would the question be?  Which candidate would you ask the question of?

Now if you get greedy and pose a bunch of questions I will delete your comment. If you ask your one question of many candidates I will delete your comment.

So think carefully, pick your target and fire away. Describe what answer most suits you or what solution you would offer that is reasonable to you.

Good hunting.

I would ask Sam Brownback...

"you've gone on record as saying you believe the plan presented by Joe Biden on Iraq which changes the government structure from a "strong central state" to a more "federalist" nation with more autonomy in the regions. What would you say to your fellow republican colleagues to garner their support? In other words, why do you support that plan over the president's plan or any others that have been suggested or offered?"

sidenote: i liked when MSNBC and the politico teamed up and offered up questions from the public in the last debate. i wished fox would have offered the same (maybe they did and i don't know about it) . i was happy that they asked my question (to ron paul) even tho i didn't get the credit (i'm sure lots of people asked the same questions ).

That's a terrific question, making him answer and not vacillate to see someone, anyone, finally take a firm stance on this clusterfuck of a war.

I agree, the questions should come from the people.. not some political hacks with an agenda. As long as the questions pertain to politics and their stances and not a bunch of "PERSONAL" attack blather.

WOW we agree on something political! this truly must be one of the seven signs of the end of the world! heh heh heh heh

I was going to be a smartass and say boxers or briefs but I really don't want to know that. I guess what I really want to know is for John McCain "What will victory in Iraq look like?"

I would ask Ron Paul: Given your historical affiliation with the Libertarian Party, do you feel you could work in enough of a bipartisan manner to represent a country that appears fairly equally divided?

Man anyone that could bring the country together has my vote, no matter what party.
Good question, one hard to answer too.

Oh, I agree.

Ron Paul has my full support, although he gets far too little attention, IMO. He's the "wild card" in that he could bring a lot of historical libertarians back "into the fold", but he's not the media's favorite, that's for sure. But I had to 1) get my shameless plug for Ron Paul in on this thread; and 2) come up with a question that met your challenge. lol.

i agree wholeheartedly...tho his horrible "crisis management" answer in the MSNBC debate would destroy him in a general election. but a good showing in the rest of the debates and if he can get a few more votes than the pundits predict, he could end up with a nice cabinet job or something good.

but i do like ron...libertarian, pittsburgh native ...what's not to like?

look out on the horizon for that bloomberg / hagel independent ticket...could make things REAL interesting.
