America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Tonight's Showdown
Published on May 15, 2007 By Moderateman In Republican

Tonight Fox News will be hosting the GOP ten candidates in what will be another boring "look at me" presentation.

If you could ask a single question {that means one question} that the candidate of your choice MUST answer, what would the question be?  Which candidate would you ask the question of?

Now if you get greedy and pose a bunch of questions I will delete your comment. If you ask your one question of many candidates I will delete your comment.

So think carefully, pick your target and fire away. Describe what answer most suits you or what solution you would offer that is reasonable to you.

Good hunting.

I would ask Rudy Giuliani if he has any plans to do something about the mess we are in, while fighting  in Iraq.

Tom Tancredo: Given that the democrats now control congress, what compromises would he make with them in order to get an Illegal Allien Bill enacted into law, and what parts of his Plan are non-negotiable?

I would ask Rudy Giuliani (since I have to pick 1 and he's the one I know the most, I would ask all of them) If you were to become President, what would you do to show the American people that Congress (controlled by the Democrats), the Senate (almost a 50-50) and the President can work together, come to agreements more often and actually show that the issues are debated for the better of the American people and not for personal or political party gain?

I case someone does not understand, I want to know if he can actually reach agreements that would actually benefit the American people as oppose to making themselves look good. Do it for us not themselves. I hope this is valid MM. This would include every issue we face today.

A co-worker that does not have an account here wanted me to place this question for him. If it's OK with you MM. His name is Jack.

To John McCain:

What are your thoughts on the concept of creating the American version of the European Union, called on some websites the North American Union (NAU) which would combine the US with Mexico and Canada and create what could be called the Amero, a single currency for all 3 countries, similar to the Euro?

That would sure stop the flood of America dollars leaving the country, headed to Mexico and Canada.. good idea.

I dont have one, and that is why I am not running. I am not a compromiser, but I know a president has to be at times.

I know what I would want to happen - but then I also am not naive enough to believe that I would be given Cart Blanche to enact it.

I'm an outsider but I would ask any contender to tell me whether he, or she, would ever go into a war again without planning for the aftermath. A President should be able to look further ahead than the beach head!

boy that is a great question,. Bush did not foresee the aftermath of his war and look at how fucked up things are now.

Well considering that expecting them to actually work as a team searching for the same goal would be like me winning the lottery without buying a ticket. I would, at the least, expect him to say that he will try his best to point out that actions taken will be with the American peoples best interest and that bills and laws proposed and passed with the intent of personal gain will not be tolerated. That while they will all have to find ways to compromise here and there, that in the end it will not be just to make the other party or people look bad when they get what they want. Compromise should be a key word in anything he may have to say when answering my question, compromise not just from him but from both sides. Realize that they may have to give in a liitle from both sides in order to get something out of it in less times and accomplish more while giving the American people a sense of satisfaction, security and peace of mind.

Of course the odds of this happening are about as good as me winning the lottery 3 times in a row. But as a true American and a patriot, I chose not to lose faith that anything is possible.

Actually it would stop the American dollar all together since the concept is to change it for 1 currency of equal value in all 3 countries. Not to mention that illegal immigrants would no longer be illegal, most who's crime is only to have crossed over illegally would be released from their prisons and there is a slight chance that pot may become legal since Canada seems to be parcial to it. At least from what I have read about Canada and pot. That would be very interesting, though I can see a lot of French Canadians raising hell over the idea of being One with Americans. Which, for once would actually validate the term Americans even more since as far as I'm concerned everyone from Alaska and Canada all the way to the most Southern part of South America is an American.
