America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Published on May 2, 2007 By Moderateman In Politics

I am writing again about the U.N. because it has such a dismal record of failure to accomplish its stated goals. I believe that the U.N. is a potentially dangerous organization and most Americans are totally unaware of the dangers posed by the U.N.

The U.N. was created in 1945 to preserve the peace world wide and at first there were 51 nations that signed on. Now there are 191 nations with a good part of them being under dictatorships or socialist in leadership.

Unfortunately most Americans that work at the U.N. Are slightly Left leaning, holdovers from the previous administration. Currently we have 138 people assigned to the U.N. 120 of them are holdovers.

These left of center liberals are currently pushing for a U.N. global tax on the American people, {bet you did not know that}| If they are successful, the U.N. could rake in billions of dollars from the American taxpayers. This looming bill at the U.N. has caused Senator James Inhofe {R-IN} to propose legislation calling for protection against the U.N. Taxation act. This act has been stalled in the Senate.

They also want American soldiers to be subjected to "war crimes" trials by the world court where they could be tried and convicted by blatant Anti_American foreign Judges.

They are also pushing for a one world army where in Somalia 19 American soldiers were killed and dragged through the streets, while calls for help fell on deaf ears of the U.N. commanders.

We need to protect ourselves and our military from the anti-American United Nations at all cost, Allowing them to intrude in Americas policies or to propose taxation of Americans must be stopped at all cost.

the un by the way is the beast. it already has a upc seal for humans and it starts with 666. the mark of the beast will be global positioning device that will be implanted in your skin. this will allow you to do what ever you want and if you get lost in the woods the police will be able to track you. you will never have to worry about being robbed becouse you won't be carring cash anymore. but there is also a bad aspect of all this anyone want to guess what that will be.

It's coloured UN light blue and would clash horribly with your crazy eyes?

we are talking apples and oranges here cacto.... the U.N. is already planning to put the bill before the entire U.N. to tax Americans. Not before the security council.

General Assembly votes have no legal status. Only the Security Council can approve binding legislation. That's why none of the GA condemnations of Israel have had any effect; the vote against by the US means it never reaches the Security Council and therefore never picks up any binding power.

So an Assembly vote which would tax Americans would have no practical effect unless the US decided for some reason to adopt the proposal itself.

It's an important thing to remember about the international system - it's entirely opt-in, particularly where the big players are concerned. Only the smallest and least popular of nations have to deal with unfavourable international laws. Everyone else can choose to opt-out when it looks like they'll be voted down/prosecuted/whatever.

Like when Nicaragua sued the US in the 1980s for funding the Contras; the US withdrew from the UN court hearing the charge and so avoided having to do anything. The ICC wouldn't be any different, although I imagine the US would never sign it in the first place.

IF all this is as you say why would a United States Senator propose a bill to stop the U.n. from robbing Americans?

MM,

Good piece. The UN, IMEABO, was extremely ill advised in the first place.

Political point-scoring? If your opinion is any indication Americans hold some strange beliefs about the power of the UN; why not use that to your fame by legislating against something that won't affect you?

But to be honest I don't know. Why don't you ask him/her?

Senator Imhof Is not my state senator.. therefore he owes me no explaination.

Just as a side note. you are a pretty good example of anti-american thinking. I say this not to be mean, I say it because of over two years of reading you and your stances on all things american.

that's exactly the way uncle junior soprano tried to get hisself outta the nuthouse. he emailed dick cheney at the whitehouse, reasoning that dick could understand how someone might accidentally discharge a firearm and hit a close friend or relative.

i think yall would both be better off having a buddy turn on a flashlight and shinnying up the beam til you can get over the wall.

Right... so you want an explanation for why he might act like he did, but when I give you one and then say the only way you'll get a real explanation is by asking Imhof you say "he owes me no explanation."

You're a great guy, Modman, but I really don't know why I waste my time answering the questions you ask me.

Great? From what I've seen of you you're anti-non-US. Do we give each other a pat on the back now for being consistent to our own ideas of what's important?

Here in America being anti-non-US isn't considered a bad thing. And for the record MM is correct! After reading the drivel you've posted for the last 2 years, most would consider that you have an un-american attitude. And here that's considered a "bad" thing.

You're right, I should have used the prefix "anti" rather than "un". I was just a little hot under the collar at that moment.
