I think the lyrics were "and the sign said long haired freaky people need not apply," LOL.

Nice pics, Elie! My hair's never been that long -just nearly tomy shoulders is as long as it's ever been. During the summers when I was younger and working outside in the heat all the time I got where I kept it cut REAL short, both for comfort and because it was kinda dangerous to have long hair around all the machinery I worked with. Anyway, I still keep it short both becasue I've become to like it that way in my middle age AND becasue it's kinda required by my job now. I do wanna grow a beard again one of these days though!!!

Funny. Putting a face to your name makes you so much more a person. I actually thought you were a female (sorry about that). Good to see you even if I may disagree with you from time to time.

I love the one with you smiling.

I think you pulled off the long hair thing quite nicely!

Another Sam Elliott!  You look like him in Road house.  The others are right, the long hair fit you well.

LOL, cityguy.

I have mistaken people for female before but a)his name is ModerateMAN and he doesn't write like a female in the least (and that's not even considering the fact that his life experiences and day-to-day stuff he's written make it clear he's a man.

hahaha.

I did not see this when I responded to cityguy, but Colleen says I really am in touch with my feminine side.

Your hair was about as long as my 15-year-old son's is now. I'd also say you remind me of about half my male buds in NA. The other half have no hair. You're a lot younger and thinner and even better looking than I pictured you. Yeah, I think the hair suits you.

How fun to finally "see" you. We saw the before now we need to see the after. I love the fact that you donated your hair to locks of love. That tells me so much about you but I already knew that you were a kind and giving man.

When I got out of the marines in 1966 I swore to never cut my hair again, except for some trimming to keep it healthy I kept that promise till 2001. I was 245 in that picture now I am around 210 to 215 btw.
