There has been a whole lot of controversy about recruiting for the military on our campuses, some schools outright deny recruiters entry to speak with potential recruits. The R. O.T.C. is under siege.

Our military is being accused of criminal acts, while it's true a very very small minority of these charges have proved to be true, the justice was swift. Most of our troops are honorable men and women, to paint our troops with such a broad brush is criminal in itself.

Around the world on battlefields our men and women keep us safe.

You , pizza delivery guy, you lawyer, you mechanic, you college woman all of you are the guardians of democracy, the ones that willingly lay your lives down so we might be safe.

Duty, honor and country is your watchword. Some try to denigrate these words through mockery and disrespect. Many ridicule you, calling you stupid or unemployable in the civilian sector. NOT TRUE! You my brothers and sisters are what stands between us here in America and the monsters that wish to destroy us.

You have been molded as the defenders of our freedom, the same freedom that some unbelievers use to speak against our country.

You die, unquestioning and uncomplaining of the sacrifices you make. You experience the pain of long separation from loved ones. You above all pray for peace so you will not have to make the ultimate sacrifice, the loss of life or limb. You ABOVE ALL OTHERS  know the greatest of all religious practices, laying your life on the line for others. Your mission remains fixed, victory, nothing less will satisfy you.

Let America win this war so your lives are not spent in vain  Let us all remember there is no substitute for victory, I know you my brothers and sisters know this.

I pray for your safe return with victory grasped firmly in your hands.
