America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
I am sure if the Prophet saw what was happening he would hang his head in shame.

As more violence mounts among the religion of peace, as they continue to slaughter one another, to riot, behead people, use any simple excuse to destroy, burn, loot and otherwise act like the savages they are. I cannot help but think how proud of Islam would the Prophet be of his people today?

Well, if you look at it one way...he'd be happy.

If you look at it in that Islam has been corrupted by Wahabism, then maybe not.

I still believe it to be a peaceful religion at its core, and that over time, it's been corrupted. Like any/all other religion(s).

how could any man of peace be happy with all the unending violence?

Well, that's if he *was* a man of peace. There are questions concerning whether he was actually peaceful, or if he was just a precursor to wahabism, i.e. spreading islam by the sword.

And who is raising these questions? You? I believe Mohammed was a good man, probably even inspired. But what his followers have done, much like what the Christians did in the middle ages, is reprehensible.

I agree with San, the word is good - it is the interpretors that are the twits.

The prophet probably is hanging his head in dispair at their extremist interpretation and behavior.

No, actually historians.  There is a fascinating secular text on the beginnings of Islam (of course banned in the Muslim world) that raise many of these questions, and also the sincerity of Mohammed.

I'll buy it. But these are probably the same historians that claim that Jesus was a hack and that Siddhartha was a fruitcake.

So no, at this point I don't buy it.

Allah is a pussy and Jesus could kick his ass any day of the week.

Oh. Oh crap.
Now, that line of argument gives us atheists a tough time.
'Jeses might kick Allahs ass, but... noone can beat them both.' Na, that doesn't work. Damn, how shell I prove my intellectual superiority?
