America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~

My title pretty much says it all. I feel like some of the life has gone from joeuser.

Is it the new format? or has everything that can be written, has been.

Where is the spark? What has happened? Could it be that Joeuser has outlived its usefulness?

Even with the liberals writing more, I just cannot seem to find any articles of real interest.

Must I break out the bugle and start playing taps?

Summer slump

I think that says a lot of it.  Not much heated debate over the summer.  But things are heating up now in anticipation of the fall elections.  And if the democrats get a chamber or 2?  It is going to get real HOT!

I believe they will get the house, and the very first thing they will do is try to impeach Bush.

Can you see Col klink and Davad70 going at Bush then! "See! I told you So!". Even though there is no basis in reality for any articles of impeachment, Moveon.org (aka, wehatejews.com) will be pushing them to new anti-semitic heights!

Obviously it's because I haven't posted much since March. Clearly I'm the heart and soul of JU.

Is it the new format?

I saw the new forums for the first time two nights ago (I rarely ever use the forum interface). It sucks the big one. But I don't see where that would affect the quality or number of new articles (maybe the liveliness of debate for those that used that interface almost exclusively).

or has everything that can be written, has been

No more so than "everything that can be invented has been invented."

Seriously though, I thought a lot earlier than this the sentiments expressed about the current quality of JU. I felt we were in a slump -- the same old people writing the same old articles. There was a time years ago when I'd read practically every new article posted. Now I can go through page after page of Newest Articles without seeing anything that interests me.

But now that the sign-up bug has been fixed we've got a lot of new people coming in. There's been an increase in the number of articles lately. Things may be turning around.

I think we're just in a transitional period.

Now if I'd only start writing again, JU could return to its former glory....

You can thank cutepablo for that one!

I have found I read less articles with the new format, it is such a long winded thing to go through all the channels now.

Yes I have found it quieter for sure, due to my own laziness perhaps, but also there have been less new articles, or is it just a case of my not finding them?

you guys ran off most of the interesting bloggers...now you're sad because it's just you good ol' boys and a few mommy blogs...

I doubt you'll learn your lesson, though.

Hmm...it does seem a tad quiet around here...but all things occur in cycles...maybe JU is in a slumbering state. Things will probably start again during winter...summer can keep people busy, but it's a known fact that we don't like the cold.

Well, let's see what happens.

No, they just ran out of facts and resorted to vitriol. No one ran off anyone.

But then you know that. How many people have you blacklisted? How many do you comment on? Of all the liberals, you are the only one that digusts me. And you cant even see the evil you are doing to the children of Ark. Thank god none of mine are there, but it does explain why clinton does not know the meaning of is.

Hey, I was going to say the same thing Gene. I figured things weren't as much fun since I haven't been spending as much time here. Kind of like when I leave the party, it's all downhill from there.

Of course, I don't know if I fall in the dreaded "mommy blogger" category. I am a mommy and a blogger but I don't think that defines me completely. I guess if you are a mommy blogger, you are automatically uninteresting.

Alright, MM, I guess we need to liven things up a bit. You go first. Write an outrageously controversial article and I'll comment.
