America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~

My Treo blew up on me around 3 weeks ago and while getting a new cellphone I dumped sprint too.

I hated sprint because I live in the boonies and the signal was always weak and I dropped at least one in three calls sometimes two in three.

I bought the moto razor this time and switched to cingular. I love this phone and love the blue tooth set up more! I always have a strong signal now and as of today have not dropped a single call!

Back at you MM

I do like this phone a lot though. I previously had a Nokia 6820 (I think that I mentioned that above, most certainly in my quick review of the new one). The 6820 is nice, but oddly shaped. It doesn't slip well into a pocket and with exposed keys I had to use the automatic key-lock feature on it lest I wind up dialing someone by accident.

The thing I liked a lot on the 6820 was the keyboard it came with. If I was TEXTING a lot, or wanted to send mail messages or IMs from the phone it is great. Though the keys are small, they are far more usable and much quicker to use to send messages back and forth with compared to using the typical phone number/text pad.

I found over time though that I wasn't really using the message features because I'm normally a cheap bastage and refused to pay $0.05 per message, or to pay for a potentially expensive monthly plan that would include more built in message units.

Something I'm missing now on the new phone though is the ease of syncing data back and forth using the Nokia software. LG has similar software, but it doesn't (yet) support the CU500. Hopefully soon for that. On the Nokia I could sync very easily with Outlook including syncing To Do information, Notes, Calendar/Schedule type information and Contact information. On the new one, the best I've been able to accomplish so far is copying over Contact information as "cards" that can be imported/saved into the address book on the new phone.

Over time hopefully I'll get the missing features from the new phone. I also know I won't be playing with the video features too long on the new phone as I just don't like the idea of paying too much money for novelties. With that all said, I'm still glad I picked this particular phone as it's comfortable, sharp looking, and has enough features to keep me pretty happy.

Back in the days of Expensive Cell phones (and plans), I only had a pager.  And, yep!  That is what I called it!
