MUSLIMS ARE NOT READY FOR FREEDOM!!

We need to understand this.

After watching Muslims in IRAQ, take to the streets crying not only DEATH TO ISRAEL BUT to America as well, only one conclusion can be drawn from this. They do not appreciate all the American lives laid down for their betterment, matter of fact the resent it.

The Religion of ISLAM IS so structured that there is no room for thought, everything is laid out, when you pray, how you pray, death if you convert to another religion, what you eat, how you dress and on and on.

Freedom means you have to make up your own mind about things, sadly MUSLIMS are not evolved enough to do this. They are content being told how to think and all the other things that make ISLAM the single most restrictive religion on the planet!!

America should pull out of Iraq and let them kill each other. We need to understand the MUSLIMS are much like children, the have a NEED to be told how to live their lives. These people do not care for anyone not of their religion, even then if you are Sunni a Shiite will kill you and visa versa, same religion, but a small differing view of ISLAM make a huge difference to these people. If they willingly Murder each other and belong to the same religion, what makes us think they will ever open their arms to us INFIDELS?

Even in Free countries like England, Spain, France and America, they stick to themselves refusing to integrate. They want nothing to do with us. PERIOD!

Any thoughts on this?

Freedom isn't something you can cram for. Note the 1860's and other bleak periods in American history, the parliamentary struggles of English history, the chaos of recovering from the French Revolution, etc. If our history is any indication there should be nothing BUT troubles for Iraqis as they adjust to freedom.

The question is why anyone with a brain and a history book would ever expect them to behave as we do. We have a 200 year head start on Iraqis. Most of the middle east is forced to live in a very backward way, being fed only information that breeds hate. Americans can look "proudly" back on 200 years of hate and abuse and things we should be ashamed of.

So we don't give them democracy so they can immediately behave as we do, we give them democracy so they can start the painful process that might eventually lead them to feel the same way we do. Given the fact that western civilization changes radically from generation to generation, I think most people's expectations in the middle east are irrational.

Indeed, look how badly the Europeans are doing with it. While better than Iraq, most have had a 100 years of experience with it, and still suck at it! Note the exceptions to their free speech laws.

And of course, while the French claim to be the birthplace of democracy (like the Old USSR claimed to have created everything), they are the worst of all at it. Like MM says, children. And petulant ones at that.

This is such an understatement. It's so weighted with truth and what a lot of people do not see and or not thinking about.

So we don't give them democracy so they can immediately behave as we do, we give them democracy so they can start the painful process that might eventually lead them to feel the same way we do

What I question is, since they are protesting so much, they don't want the Western way of life and/or beliefs, why not leave them the heck alone, like Elie said. We should just leave them alone period! And let them wallow in their own poop for a change. I don't mean disrespect when I say that. They want to be left alone, leave them alone then and if they come anywhere near us or our borders we should deal with them then. That would mean no tolerance for anything from their side. That would mean no immigration into our country from anywhere there. That would mean they are on their own. But then again, what the heck do I know eh? I'm just sick of all this!
