America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~

This was a forward from my ex-wife. I do not know if this is true or not, but it sure is interesting.

1. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq

2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!

3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.

4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq

5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!

6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq!

7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.

8. Jonah preached in Nineveh- which is in Iraq.

9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.

10. Amos cried out in Iraq!

11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.

12. Daniel was in the lion's den, in Iraq!

13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq(Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the Fiery furnace!)

14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.

15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.

16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.

17. The wise men were from Iraq

18. Peter preached in Iraq.

19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq!

And you have probably seen this one. Israelis the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraqis a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq.

And also, This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran (9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

we? as in Aamerica? ha! we have to many personal guns for that to even happen.

ya for now you're right, but something is going to change, don't know how but I believe it to be so. This is a very common held belief by many Christians that study Prophecy. In order for Israel to be invaded (which is prophecy) we need to be out of the picture. That's what Armageddon is all about. We are not mentioned anywhere in this realm so just where the heck are we? We don't know. Only time will tell.

That doesn't necessarily we are gone. I remember reading something mentioning that there would be a huge catastrophy, on such a scale that...we, as a country/continent would be, while not "wiped out," but taken out of action. Not sure where. *might* have been some of Tim Lahaye's stuff.

trust me before we would let this country fall to invasion we would do some evil drastic things, like use them 2000 plus nukes we have sitting around.

are you kidding? Look around. I'm thinking the invasion has already started. Maybe we'll be like Rome, not fall from outside sources but fall from within. Very possible.

but taken out of action

yes that's what I mean by taken out of the picture. Just not sure how.

Reply By: little-whipPosted: Wednesday, June 07, 2006Verse 9:11 of the Qur'an is about repentance and reads as follows in three different English translations: But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand. ~But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then are they your brethren in religion. We detail Our revelations for a people who have knowledge. ~But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know.~Just so you'd know.

thanx whip, I sent an email to my ex-wife showing her where the foreword email was untrue.

There's a lot of the ancient history of Iraq in the Bible's Old Testament. Iran is Persia, and Iraq is Babylon. There was a History Channel special a while back about how a lot of Hussein's stupidity is a very real phenomenon in Iraq that springs from their want to regain the supposed world power and prestige that they once had.

Granted, it isn't that hard to be a world power when your world is basically just the mediterranean and a bit more to the east. It certainly plays into the fears/predictions of a lot of Bible literalists who believe that everything that what they think is predicted is coming to pass. The trouble with that is knowing whether the prophet was talking about 2500 years in the future, or something more contemporary.

Haven't bothered looking most of it up, but I am pretty sure the Magi were Persian Zoroastrians. Babylon also really doesn't have much claim on the Chaldeans or the Assyrians. Iran, Syria, Turkey, and other modern countries were absorbed by the Bablylonians, and they were later absorbed by the Ottoman Empire and others. "Mesopotamia" was really loosely used and the Iraqis don't really have a claim to it 100%.

It may seem like nitpicking, but that kind of aspiration to regain lost empires was what drove Hitler and other nuts, and frankly Iraqis are just as apt to twist history and hijack other empires as Hitler was. I call an Assyrian and Assyrian and a Chaldean a Chaldean. I don't like giving their weird volkishness any more validation.

Volkishness as relates to Volk.

A good read about German ideology regarding their volk is The Crisis of German Ideology. I'd recommend it, good read. The Iraqis, believe it or not, have kind of the same thing going, though a lot lighter on the 'master race' thing.

Re: Col Gene; I know, I used to fuss at you guys about feeding him. Dunno what is wrong with me...

cough* I'm really sorry, buuuuut...

From snopes:

The chapter and verse citation reproduced in the example block above isn't a legitimate quotation from the Quran (or Koran), the sacred text of Islam — no such passage appears in that book, at Chapter 9, Verse 11 or anywhere else.

This item a hoax, a leg-pull, that plays on the USA's (i.e., the Eagle's) launching of military action against Afghanistan and Iraq (the "lands of Allah") in response to the September 11 terrorist attacks on America organized by Osama bin Laden (the "son of Arabia"). That the chapter and verse selection match the date of the terrorist attacks (9:11) is another giveaway to the joke.

I don't know about the other stuff (1-19) and I'm too lazy to look it all up. The Koran verse, though, isn't real.

Thanks, Tex. I saw through that one REAL quick...lol!

Still, most of the Biblical stuff (all of it, from what I do know) is 100% accurate!

example: my people the Turks and the Greeks

What an enormous waste if life.
