America has problems, but America is NOT THE PROBLEM!~
Published on May 21, 2006 By Moderateman In US Domestic
Why is it when the United States makes a mistake in policy, a good part of the world seems to become unglued. Another nation could even be directly involved with the American mistakes yet the other country is given a pass, while America gets the blame,

It seems that the rest of the world just loves bashing America for not attaining the goal of perfection in all things.

We spend billion\s helping other countries get back on their collective feet, yet when America needs help, as shown with the hurricane Katrina incident the world seems to be busy doing something else.

What the rest of the world does not seem to get is that America is an diverse country, filled with people of all races, religions and colors trying to get along. America is truly the land of the FREE and the home of the brave. What other country do, people risk there lives for to get into? Legally or Illegally the worlds people come in huge walls of humanity.

We make mistakes all the time, but somehow Americas mistakes are more egregious than other countries do. Yet for all our youth as a nation we make great strides and truth be told a good part of the world WANTS WHAT AMERICA HAS, freedom. and the highest standard of living among ALL other countries.

I am tried to the bone of how other countries look to America in time of need, yet take the very first opportunity to betray us or if possible seek a way to destroy us.

America needs to stop being so generous. We need to tend to our own country and her poor and helpless. Our infrastructure is in desperate condition {highways, electrical grids, bridges Schools.

We need to come up with some kind of health insurance for everyone! We can send boat loads, cargo jets and medical equipment to countries like Iran yet 45 million Americans have no health coverage.
.

Stop helping countries that hate us, stop helping countries that refuse to help themselves.

Let the natural selection run free again, let those not strong enough to fend for themselves wither and die, the world will be a better stronger place for it. Don't hate us because we are best of the best

GOD BLESS AMERICA@ and GOD bless you.

Reply By: Dr. GuyPosted: Sunday, May 21, 2006the feds so build roads, remember when some states wanted to raise the speed limit to 75 or 80 miles per hour and the feds said "if you do that we will cut funding for you highways"FUNDING. Not roads. The feds do not build roads, the states do with federal money that was sent there from the states

you have it right doc, my bad, I had it mixed up.

As for being the Best of the best below a ranking of countries according to the UN quality of life index

I was in agreement with you till you used the United Nations as a barometer for something.

America is by far the greatest country, period.

According to this same body of nations America is the root of all evil. This same corrupt united nations is united in one thing and one thing only, bring America to her knees.

This same group could not afford to operate without the 24% of all there money coming from who? yep America.
"It's been a while since I joined a political debate on JU, I forgot how much fun it can be coming up with arguement, thanks moderateman " Good seeing you I mis your arguements btw. Just as a side note when we went to Victoria we were treated to the new national anthem from all the homeless there, "hey buddy got any spare change?" heh heh heh

Reply By: little-whipPosted: Sunday, May 21, 2006New Orleans has a glorious opportunity to restructure itself and fix everything that was wrong. Leaders there are so bent on having their "chocolate" New Orleans, though, that they are going to construct a stinkin replica, warts, underwater projects and all. They even re-elected their idiot mayor.People get the government they deserve.

It seems that way for sure, My God can the next President be worse than Bush or Clinton?

Reply By: LocamamaPosted: Sunday, May 21, 2006I agree with the basic premise of this article. We are the good guys. Yes, we have screwed up occassionally but overall we are here to help. The world seems to see us as the fixer of problems and if we don't we're the bad guys.

exactly, if we help, we are just showin off, if we don't , we are selfish creeps.

I had a feeling that would be your response on that point. The UN just like the US isn't perfect. Ignoring their figures just because you don't agree with everything they do is a bit like throwing out the baby with the bathwater. The fact that the US gives so much money to them is all the more reason to think that the stats are unlikely to be biased in a negative way. Besides I suspect the stats people have little to do with the guys high up in the UN bearocracy. That being said I don't think there is much I could say to change your mind on what is the best country because it is really a matter of opinion. If grew up in the US I'd probably feel the same way about it, it doesn't mean I'd be right by any objective measure.

In Australia 14.3% live below the poverty line. In the US it's 17% percent. I guess that would make your national anthem: *singing* Brother can't you spare me a dime*singing*

perfect! If I grew up in France I am sure I would say how wonderful France is.

Question What is the poverty line in Australia?

Oh My God "brother can you spare a dime" is from the Great depression, I would not have guessed you knew of it.

BTW America is so wonderful, even our Depression is *GREAT !*

The U.N. is useless They have outlived whatever use they were created for.

Okay, that's it. I've had a gutful of rhetoric like this. America is NOT the greatest country in the world. Most nations have their good points and bad points. Saying Australia is the best nation in the world has never occured to me because I've only ever lived in Australia, so how do I know what other nations are like?

Secondly, the UN is NOT out to get America. Just because their agenda is not America's agenda does not mean the UN is out to 'bring America to her knees." Sorry, but I just don't believe it.

I can't believe you can write this, then in your next article write about the racism you faced as a child. This doesn't sound to me like the 'greatest country, period'.

Frankly, I wasn't suprised when I heard they re-elected Nagging...

America is by far the greatest country, period

Modern countries, yes. Over all, meh-might have one or two things to say about that...

My God can the next President be worse than Bush or Clinton?

Yep, the only way forward is down hill. (Hey, shit does flow down hill...we just have yet to reach the bottom)

Of course it isn't. Why? Because it is an imaginary entity. Nations hiding behind the flag of the UN are most certianly interested in using its resources to thwart the US's interests. As I said on my article on the subject, once you get that blue flag out of your mind and start watching who is really speaking, you realize the UN doesn't do a damn thing.

When they get up and pretend to be speaking from morally-lofty neutrality, remember they aren't citizens of the UN. It's just a tool they use to make those speeches without appearing as combative as they really are.
on May 23, 2006
I haven't read your article on the subject (and I will). As I understand it, the UN is made up of five permanent member nations, these being the UK, Russia, France, China and the USA. Am I to understand that the UN is working to 'thwart the US's interests' even though the US is one of the five member nations? Hmm, sounds a little bit like another conspiracy theory, at least from where I'm standing, anyway.

That is the Security Council, not the General Body.

I for sure mean no offense maso to you or anyone else from a country that is not the United States/.
