As we can see another liberal icon of the MSM took her best shot at President Bush yesterday with a loaded question, then when President Bush answered in a way she did not like she tried interrupting the President as many times as possible to try and short stop and confuse his answer.

President bush was in top form repeatedly slapping down this obnoxious liberal and finishing his answer,in a fine performance of Presidential mores.

Yay! George W, it's about time you stepped up and squashed these liberal anti American so called news people from putting forth there anti American agenda!

Kudoes George W!!!

I say it's a draw! they both love asking loaded questions, like "have you stopped beating your wife yet?"

She's out of control. She doesn't ask questions, she makes declarative statements with a question mark at the end. She's not even a "reporter" anymore, she's a columnist. They are offering her more respect than she deserves by allowing her in at all.

Loaded questions are one thing, but we still cant figure out who had the stupidest one!  Right now, I have to side with Phillips.  His was not only loaded, but stupid and assinine!  Helen's was just stupid, but that is what we have come to expect from her.

I heard the Q&A on the Hannity show on the way home from work yesterday. What an incredible tool of the left she is.
she tried interrupting the President as many times as possible to try and short stop and confuse his answer.

That is not an exaggeration in any way. Bush deftly cut her off before she could re-monopolize the conversation. She obviously didn't like where the answer was going: it was going to be concise, clear, declarative, and important. No sir, she didn't like that at all. Bush ran circles around Helen Thomas.

Intelligent people saw that. Liberals saw another reality!

I listened to much of the press conference live. The reporters have yet to learn anything from their previous embarrassments. Baker is absolutely correct, every one of them was making a speech with a question mark at the end. Bush showed them more respect than they deserved, but finally fired back, calmly but effectively. I think he's finally comfortable that the WHPC idiots can no longer harm him, that putting them in their place by smoothly telling them where they can shove it can't hurt him either.

I thought it was his best press conference to date, not that that's a huge accomplishment, since he's never been very good in that setting. The elitist press has always mistaken his lack of comfort for stupidity and continually "misunderestimated" him, even to this day. This time, however, he had good command of the subject matter, was able to skillfully deflect the rhetorical questions & arrogant setups and was able to make his points both thorough & succint at the same time.

Too bad I can't vote for him again. (That's for you, Gene. )

YET she is the darling of the far left, because of her outspoken hatred for bush.

Believe it or not I AGREE.

What surprises me is that some of those clowns have WH press credentials.
Remember in "Murphy Brown"? They would let her into the WH press room but keep her out of sight so she couldn't ambush GHWB with a left-field question. Maybe art should imitate life...?

I remember that! Most times ms Thomas is not called on just for that kind of ambush she tried on George W, on Monday.

She asks no questions, she makes grand indictments and accusations disguised as a question.

I saw the transcript of this one and was loving it....

I don't wish ill upon many individuals, but Helen Thomas is such a pompous old wind bag that I do wish she'd move on and have the great pleasure and distinction of trying to grill St. Peter at the pearly gates just enough to get sent where she rightly belongs.

The left love her and think she can do no wrong, but she's never been a great reporter, and has really only been famous just for being around forever. Perhaps some day she'll be replaced with a real reporter, but for me, it can't happen soon enough.
