Trash talking at a funeral! have they no shame?
Published on February 8, 2006 By Moderateman In Current Events
Taking the opportunity on a national set to show some class the Democrats missed their change once again.

Using Coretta Scott King's funeral to launch attacks on the President.

Ex-President Jimmy the peanut Carter compared the wire tapping of Reverend Martin Luther King in the 60's To the NSA's spying on enemies of the country, somehow jimmyboy forgot to mention that it was a DEMOCRATIC ORDER to tap king's phones, ordered by Robert F. Kennedy and approved by JFK himself. While speaking other Democratic demigods brought up the WMD"S that were not found in Iraq, again forgetting that all the Democratic leaders thought Saddam had them. Just another case of the left wing abusing a situation to show their hatred of George W. Bush. Have they no shame? This was a funeral honoring Coretta {why I have no Idea why she deserved this honor} sad how proper behavior escapes the left whenever they get a chance to show off on a national forum. Just one more time the country to see how stupid and weak the Democratic Party has become. "

Have you never heard of Jack Abramoff? Duke Cunningham? Bob Ney? Tom DeLay? Conrad Burns? David Safavian? Michael Scanlon?

I thought you were blasting Bush.  Strange you could only come up with one name and a bunch of red herrings.  I guess an accusation (and in some cases not even an indictment) is as good as guilt to the left.  So much for Constitutional knowledge.

Two things are true -

1 - Bush 43 has taken pains to be courteous to and respectful of his Democratic opponents in public, including even Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton and John Kerry. You just don't hear him uttering personal insults or snide remarks, or taking advantage of their presence to publicly insult or embarrass them.

2 - The Democrats pass up no opportunity to publicly disparage George Bush to his face, to try to embarrass him, to willfully deny him so much as a scintilla of the respect due the Chief Executive. None.

He displayed tremendous class by ignoring their childish and petty disrespect toward Mrs. King and simply delivering his remarks in praise of her. Those who chose to defile Mrs. King by commandeering her funeral service in a pathetic attempt to score political points should be ashamed, but I'm sure they remain unabashed. They have no class, but then again, they were just confirming what we already knew. My wife, who is no fan of George Bush and disagrees with me on many political issues, was appalled at their shameless, crass behavior.

Somehow, I figured BenUser would show up to express his pleasure at their performance.

Cheers,

I'm listening to Rev. Joseph Lowery now trying to justify his comment at the funeral service about WMD's as pertinent to a discussion of civil rights & human rights issues, insisting that the family asked him to make such a speech, denying that he was taking a shot at President Bush.

What a complete and total crock of shit. It was beyond bad taste, and all the clapping & cheering served to do nothing but further marginalize the likes of Lowery & Jackson whose livelihood (and wealth) depend on perpetuating the culture of dependence and the politics of envy.

"It's always the right time to do what's right." "How could I give a speech about human rights without talking about WMD's?" What the...?

He is completely disgusting and I can have no respect for his tactics.

Reply By: BakerStreetPosted: Wednesday, February 08, 2006"The real heros are people like rosa parks who demanded she be treated like anyone else."And a buttload of white people who were also abused, killed, and "spied upon" by the government because they supported the civil rights movement. How many people know their names? I'm willing to bet maybe one out of a thousand people who filed by that casket this week could name one of the civil rights workers that were killed in mississippi in 1964. Granted, they weren't married to a man who has his own national holiday.

another fact that seems to fall in the cracks all the white people beaten, killed, locked up while doing civil disobedience FOR THE RIGHTS OF BLACKS.

I listened to him too, the left have become so adept at dodging questions I wonder why anyone bothers to ask. Never one democrat with any juice has commented negatively on this disgraceful behavior.

If they did, the press chose not to mention it. Whether they endorsed what he did or not, or even asked him to do it, is almost irrelevant. A decent human being wouldn't have done it on his own, and would have declined such a request, as disrespectful of the deceased. I would also expect a minister of God would have counseled the family against it.

I have found ministers, rabbis, priests are just as shallow and fallible as the rest of us.
